Margaret continued her story, explaining the trauma that Mr Jingles created.
She especially liked explaining how 'Christ' had saved her and how she would never doubt god's existence ever again.
"I saw a bright light, it was Jesus! Somehow I was hovering above, watching my own body as he sliced my ear off, I didn't feel anything but a light burn before I returned back to my own body."
Margaret stopped a second, presuming that everyone knew enough.
They didn't.
"What happened to Mr Jingles?" Brooke asks.
"Oh, the authorities locked him away since they found his ear necklace." Margaret explains.
"Ear necklace!" You raise your eyebrows, smirking a little.
"Yes, he threaded the counsellor's ears onto a necklace, he had always been a bit twisted since he returned from the war." Margaret says emotionlessly.
"That's creepy." Ray says casually.
Due to his and everyone else's attitude, you knew they were bored and wanted to get back to watching tv and drinking beer.
You thought it was fair enough since when the kids come tomorrow you'd probably have to lots of singing around the fire.
"Erm," You say, breaking the silence and trying to think of a good excuse to get back inside, "I'm really tired."
You fake a massive yawn, hoping that the others would catch on to what you were doing.
Chet yawned shortly after, "Yeah, we should probably call it a night."
"I agree." Xavier declares, standing up and stretching.
Maybe he was a good actor after all.
Your friend group got up slowly and began plodding back to the cabin, leaving the nurse and Margaret to stare.
Trevor, who had been sat beside Montana the entire time, had gone back to his cabin too.
You wondered if he had caught on to what you were all doing.
"Kids!" Nurse Rita yells but you all ignore her until the cabin door is shut behind you.
Brooke slammed the light switch and the group were plunged into darkness.
Montana pressed her face against the window, watching the two women sat at the campfire.
It felt like hours just sitting there in the dark, waiting for Margaret and Rita to go back to their cabins and fall asleep.
You crouched next to Brooke and asked her how she felt.
"I'm alright, I don't exactly like the idea of another serial killer coming to get me." She says, emitting a nervous laugh.
"Don't worry, he's locked away." You reassure her.
"I know, I-I guess I just have a bad feeling about it." She says.
You were sure that you saw a single tear slide down her face and drop onto the floor but it could've just been the moonlight.
You look up to Montana who immediately span round with her thumbs up.
"They've gone! Get the TV back out!" Montana instructs.
Ray switched on the lights and Xavier plugged the Tv in.
And to your horror, the olympics had been interrupted by an emergency news broadcast.
Notorious serial killer Benjamin Richter, otherwise known as Mr Jingles has escaped the mental facility he had been pla-
Then, before anyone could form any words, the power went out.
