Jaden pov
"I still don't understand why you don't just take the contacts out. I mean if they are causing you that much aggravation, you should keep them out." I say as I watch her try and adjust the blue contact for the fourth time since we started driving.
"Of course you don't, you don't have to live with them. I just find it easier to hide them." She explains as she finally stops touching at her eyes.
I sigh. I spent almost two hours this morning trying to convince her that she doesn't need to wear them and that people won't judge her for her eye colour but she won't listen. It's like she has her fathers voice playing on repeat in her head. God I hope my mom can help her, or even at this point him if it will help her in the long run.
"Okay. Well we're here." I said as I turned the car off, after pulling up outside Parker's house.
"She's watching us." She said randomly. Mcfuckingscuse me? Who's watching us?
"Who? That's unsettling for you to say." I say as a shift uncomfortably in my seat.
"Kash. She's sat at the window waiting for us. I kinda told her yesterday I'm bringing a friend who she will probably like." She laughs at my reaction. I turn my head to see a girl with long black hair and piercing blue eyes sat at the window.
"That's cute not going to lie." I said.
"Also, just thought I'd mention that Kash is adopted. Parker's wife can't have children so they adopted Kash when she was like 3. So please don't mention how she doesn't look anything like Parker or Charlotte. She doesn't know she's adopted I don't think." She mentions.
"Of course. I wouldn't have mentioned it anyway but okay." I said as I followed her out of the car. I noticed she was counting down from five on her fingers.

"Blair bear!!" We heard a scream. I hear a door slam and I see Kash running up to Blair. Blair bear? That's fucking adorable.
"Kashy moo. How are you baby?" Blair shouted back as she crouched down to pick up the child and hold her.
"I'm okay. How are you? *gasp* Did you bring your friend? Is that him?" She asked as she wriggled out of Blair's grip to come running up to me. I didn't even process what was going on until I had a six year old gripping at my legs. "Hi." She said as she looked up at me.
I crouched down to her size to make it easier to talk to her. She flung her arms around my neck and giggled. My heart just melted.
"Hello princess." I said as I saw Blair smile as I hugged her back.
"Yes Kash, this is my friend Jaden." She said in a laugh at the child's reaction.
"You like music." She said as detached herself from me and ran around the lawn real quick.
"Yes I do." I said.
"Oh my god. Kash, baby, you can't just run out sweetheart." A tall woman with ginger hair and green eyes stood at the door.
"I'm sorry mommy. But look it's Blair and her friend Jaden. He likes music just like I do." She exclaimed jumping on the spot at the bottom of the stairs.
"Kash. Calm down now." She said sternly. Hold up. You can't really tell a kid with adhd to just calm down. That's not how it works.
I heard Blair sigh. Is this something normal for this woman?
