Jaden pov

"I can't believe you Ace." Blair said for the fifth time since this conversation opened.

"I don't get why you are so fucking mad about it mum." He complained again.

"Because you shouldn't have done it. You're too young." She reiterated again.

"I don't see what the problem is though. We both consented to it, so why the fuck is it a problem?" He asked.

"Because you are too young to be doing that. Both your brother and your sister didn't lose it until they were at least seventeen." She pointed out, causing him to scoff.

"You can keep believing that mum. Asher maybe that is the case, but Raign? She lost it when she was 15, the same night that dad took you to the studio to show you his new songs, and we stayed back. How do I know? Because I fucking walked in on it. Both of us were consenting. She was 17, I was 16. I don't see why it's a problem." He said before he walked away from the conversation.

Blair let out a frustrated sigh before walking off to the kitchen. I decided I would follow her first and make sure she didn't do anything stupid before going to see Ace.

"Blair?" I asked timidly, not wanting to set her off or anything.

"What Jaden?" She hissed.

"Okay, don't you fucking dare take your anger out on me." I said as I stood more to attention.

"You could have fucking said something instead of sitting there watching like you were at a fucking football match." She snapped as she leant her hands against the island. Soccer match. But I wasn't about to say that to her.

"I didn't need to say anything. You were being too hard on him. As far as I see it; as long as they both consented to it, and were both comfortable with it, then there is no problem." I explained calmly, not wanting this to cause an argument.

"It's not fine, he's too young." She rushed out.

"Just because your parent decided what age you could lose your virginity, does not mean you get to do the same for your kids." I knew immediately that as soon as those words left my mouth there was no going back. I fucked up. She sucked her teeth and looked up at me.

"You know what? You're right. But you should never compare my experiences to theirs. I am trying to protect them, and keep them safe. He did the exact opposite for me. So don't you DARE EVER, compare me to a monster like him." She screamed, her voiced strained out of pure anger as tears rushed down her face. Her phone buzzed and she looked at it. "I have to go, I have an appointment booked in." She said as she barged past me to pick up her bag.

"Blair you can't just leave, this conversa-"

"Fucking watch me Jaden. This conversation is over. You'll be lucky if I come home tonight." She said as she shut the door.

"Dad?" Aces voice rang through my ears from the stairs. I felt my anger bubble, as much as I know it's not his fault for what I said, or for what he did, I still couldn't help it. "Look, I'm sorry if it meant that much to her. I was going to tell you guys, I just wanted to find the right words first." He said as his voice drifted towards the end. I still had my back to him, still facing the front door.

"It's not your fault Ace. She's getting confused in her mind between her experiences and yours. You did nothing wrong." I turned around to look at him. "As long as you can tell me that you were both 100% sure that's what you wanted, then you did nothing wrong." I said as he looked down again.
