Jaden pov

Two hours. Two fucking hours we've been sat in this room. Blair pretty much fell asleep in the car, but she didn't? She had that thing where you feel like you're asleep, but you aren't, you're fully awake and aware of what's going on. Everything is just slowed and heavy.

When we got here, a nurse took us straight to a room and they ran some tests. That was two hours ago. I am now sat on the hospital bed with Blair between my legs, whimpering every now and then because of her head.

"I know baby, I know. It'll be over soon, I promise." I whispered as I kissed her head softly and rubbed my hands up and down her side.

The room was overcome by a comfortable silence, minus the odd whimper or sob from Blair here and there. The silence was quickly disrupted by a doctor walking into the room.

"Hello Miss Maxim, my names dr Phillips. How are you feeling?" He asked as he looked between me and Blair. She didn't answer him. She wasn't answering to be rude, but it hurt her head for her to talk.

"Sorry, she told me earlier that it hurts her head when she talks." I said in a low tone as I looked at him.

"I understand. Blair, can you show me on your fingers from one to ten how much pain you are in? Ten being completely unbearable, and one being completely fine." Oh yeah, she's obviously completely fine asshole. She held up seven of her fingers while shutting her eyes due to the bright light.

"Do you know what's wrong with her?" I asked as I signalled for him to dim the lights slightly.

"Well fortunately, it's nothing abnormal. The pain she's feeling is just her body reacting to the babies dropping into a deeper position. In the process of them dropping, they trapped a nerve which is why the pain was so immense, and her brain was working overtime to try and get her body to move the babies slightly. That having happened when she got into the bath you said she had. The headache she's having is just her brain having suddenly stopped working so hard, leaving a bit of excess blood flow." I winced as he explained what had happened, but let out a sigh of relief when he said it's something normal. "We do have pain relief that we can give to her that should take away the pain, and the headache should subside throughout the night. She should be back to normal tomorrow. She will feel some discomfort because of her body adjusting to the dropping, but again that's completely normal." He explained.

"Thank you." I said to him as he nodded.

"Have a good night." He smiled as he walked out of the room after giving me her meds.

"Blair baby, can you wake up for me?" I asked softly. She whined a little but still sat up as best as she could. "I know baby, we've got your meds, nothing serious is wrong with you. I'll explain it later if you want, but for now we can go home and go to sleep, and you should be feeling better in the morning." I said as I kissed her head, I sat up with her and climbed off behind, walking around to be in front of her, and helping her off the bed.

"Okay baby." She mumbled as she leant into my side. I walked outside with her and drove her back home.

"Lola, down." I said as she was jumping around by Blair. "Go lay down baby, I'll be in in a second." I said as I went to the kitchen to fill up a hot water bottle for her back.

I walked into the bedroom and she was already under the covers, laying on her back. I slipped the bottle under her back between her hoodie and the mattress so it didn't burn her skin. I took my shirt and shoes off and later in bed next to her. She turned her head to look at me. She smiled at me with her eyes half shut. She looked quite cute like that.

"Thank you, I love you baby." She mumbled as she slightly shifted herself to face me. I put my arm around her body and brought her a little closer to me.

"I love you too baby. Goodnight." I said as kissed her head. I felt her body go limp against mine and allowed myself to fall asleep knowing she was too.

"Jaden. You can't keep leaving me in the bed, it gets cold." Blair whined as she walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning to you too Blair. How are you feeling today baby?" I asked her as I handed her a cup of water and the pain meds the doctor gave us yesterday.

"My headache is gone, I just have a slight pain in my back but other than that I feel fine." She said as she took the medicine.

"Good. Do you think you'd be up for going to the beach later?" I asked her.

"What time? I already know that we are going to go, but what time?" She asked me.

"Well we'd probably leave around six, but I've got the whole day off today, so we can just chill or do whatever you want." I smiled to her.

"Can we go and get pancakes from ihop?" She asked, smiling.

"Of course we can. Go and get ready." I smiled back at her as I watched her walk as fast as she could back to our room.
