Carlos POV
Vaas and I are still sitting, waiting, waiting on anything to happen. Nothing has happened though. I take a deep breath, slowly letting it out I click on the radio, "Hey, anything happening?" I say tiredly through the radio.A Pirate responds, buzzing through the radio, "Nothing. It's just fucking hot out here. Over."
I looked at Vaas and shrug, "What the fuck I don't get it. I don't understand." I throw my arms back helplessly. Vaas sits up and puts his hands close his face, resting his chin on his hands.
"It was a fucking trap, right?" Vaas asks, looking back at me, "The map showing the weapons shed?"
"Yeah, why?" I ask.
"This must be fuckin' trap. You didn't think for one second that this could've been a part of their plan? They're spreading us out, they know about how many men we have."
"The weapons shed was there though. If it was a trap that they planned out where they really tried to be quiet, then I don't think they would've actually put the weapons there. We still blew it up and took what we could. That's helping us." I say. Maybe this is a part of their plan, though. Vaas hasn't been wrong a lot of the time.
"Listen alright if nothing happens between now and tomorrow, TOMORROW, we're going to find some privateer assholes and give them a taste of their own medicine. I'm not going to wait for long..." Vaas stands up and walks out of the room without a second thought and I'm left alone.
-------------
Hector was at Vaas' other island, waiting for a battle. It's the afternoon already and nothing has happened, "Carlos, do you copy?" Hector's voice buzzes through the radio, statically. Damn Rakyat for sending Brody to hijack the radio towers. We still have a lot that we need to re-hijack."Yes, I copy." I say through the radio.
"We're stirring dry out here. Come on man, I doubt there's going to be a battle any time soon. I doubt there's going to be shit anytime soon, we're just sitting ducks out here. Over."
"Just hold it out. Over." I respond.
"What's going on with the other guys? Anything? Over."
"Nah... nothing so far. We just have to be patient alright."
"What Vaas say?"
"He said just one more day. If nothing happens by the end of tomorrow then y'all can come back... maybe we were set up. I mean Vaas says that if it was a trap for Jason, maybe this is to stall us? Over."
"Could be. There's no telling. It's just fucking hot, over."
"Yeah but keep your look out. You never know, we've had the drop on us before, just stay ready no matter what. Over."
"Alright we'll be here. I'll radio you if something happens. Over and out." Hector's voice stopped and I put the radio on my belt to keep it with me. I start to pace back fourth, time passes, slowly. I'm driving myself crazy here, Vaas had to be somewhere. I leave the building and start to look around the camp. I go to where you can find the strippers and prostitutes... should've known, Vaas isn't here. He never really goes to women for anything anyway. I know where he would be. I make my way to the weapons shed and sure enough I spot Vaas there, cleaning all the weapons.
"What are you doing?" I ask, approaching him.
"Cleaning weapons, help me." He orders.
"Alright..." I say, sitting down next to Vaas and we both start cleaning different weapons.
"Once Jason gets back, we're gonna end this shit. I don't know who is leading but I will kill them. I'm tired of this back fourth bullshit anyway. It's the same fucking thing, over and over and over again."
