It happened far too quickly for her to notice. The girl had been dragged from the sofa to the streets. Her (h/c) hair flowed behind her as she walked with the two much taller males. Skipping behind them, she didn't ask questions. Her feet danced over the cobblestone as she hummed to herself. Kunikida would glance back here and there. She seemed like a completely different person than she had the previous night. If anything, she seemed closer to a child than a grown woman. "How old is she?" he grumbled glancing at Dazai who snickered.

"I believe she's 21." Dazai shrugged watching as she spun around trying to catch a falling leaf. Kunikda sighed, shaking his head. Not only would he have the suicidal maniac next to him, but a childish girl who clearly had something to hide under the giggles and light smiles. Dazai fit that thought, nobody knew what he did before joining the agency at 20. The walk lasted a while until they arrived at the destination.

Not paying attention, the girl bumped into Dazai, with a grunt she backed away, shaking her head. Kunikida face-palmed glaring at her. She acted like a child, looked like a child, and appeared to be an airhead. He was starting to believe her statement about not being able to hurt a fly was going to be accurate. "So, I wasn't listening before. What are we doing here?" The female asked, tilting her head to the side.

Kunikida groaned with annoyance as he looked at his watch. They had arrived early, so sparing a few moments to inform the female wouldn't hurt their job. "Last night we were after a group of muggers who apparently have gifts like us. We apprehended one of them and were told about this location. We're arresting the rest and hopefully recovering the stolen goods." Kunikida glanced back at his watch again.

(Y/n) stared at the building with a long sigh. "Alright, this seems easy enough," She hummed. Sitting in silence, the three waited until the doors opened and a vehicle drove inside. Kunikida looked to Dazai who rolled his eyes.

"It's your turn, Kunikida." Dazai huffed watching Kunikida hold out his hand. They bumped their fists on their palm before laying out paper and rock. Dazai smirked, wiggling his arms as he snickered. "You suck at this Kunikida." It was true, Kunikida tended to lose to rock paper scissors. However, it was normal to lose against Dazai. There were few times when Dazai truly lost at the game of chance. Even that chance game could be manipulated through careful thought.

The female with them snickered when Kunikida dashed from their hiding spot. Writing something in his notebook which was labeled ideals, a stun gun placed itself in his hands. They waited for a while until Dazai looked at his phone and nodded. He grabbed the girl's arm as he tugged her into the building. Sticking to the shadows, they waited again. In a matter of moments, a stun grenade went off. Dazai dragged his hand over his face standing up. "Alright, put your ability to use. Careful not to destroy too much. I'll go support Kunikida." Dazai had it all planned out. This option would corner both him and Kunikida. Of course, it wouldn't be that bad, he'd be able to wiggle free if he were wrong about (Y/n). Without being able to ask a question, guns pointed at their position. She slid her gloves from her hands. Instantly the air around her began to move. The wind could kill, destroy and save. A strong enough gust could support a human in the air.

Softly exhaling and twirling her finger, she kept a steady stream of air around her body. Controlling the space around her, she manipulated her body over to the people holding guns. When they fired, she used strong enough wind to change the course of the bullet and avoid hitting anybody. Smiling, she ended up above the three men. Flicking her finger air rushed against their bodies and pinned them down to the floor. She took the cuffs she had been handed and snapped them over their wrists. She quickly rushed over to where Dazai had run to. She felt the metal place itself to her head. Raising her hands, she gulped. Kunikida seemed to look at Dazai with a worried glance. They were both on the floor with arms raised. Dazai gave him a look that stated trust me.

Sighing the female tapped her foot to the ground. The ground shook, causing both herself and the male holding the gun to her head to fall off balance. What she had just done was shake the building using a big enough gust to rip a tree from the earth. She looked at the two males with a confident smile. "Watch out!" Kunikida shouted, hearing the gunfire from behind her. Her eyes widened as she sighed. The bullet froze mid-air. Everything around them slowed within seconds. Usually, she avoided this. It strained her body to completely slow and speed time up without touching something physically.

Her ability was not controlling air, the force of the wind was caused by slowing a specific area's space down and sending shock waves. Hence, why she pressed her foot down. The air around them was big enough to hit them all and knock them all down, but she had limited the space it consumed. There was a catch to using it the way she was right now. Her body couldn't take the reduced function. "Huh, so you're smart enough to have figured out you can't keep me in your abilities range," Dazai grumbled standing up from his seat. Glancing to Dazai, the female nodded. She grabbed the bullet and walked around to the other two bullets. Next, she increased time to create a paradox that crushed the guns. "How does it work?" Dazai asked as he looked to (Y/n).

With a heavy sigh, she released her ability. Her lungs gave a large cough spilling blood. Planting her hands onto the ground, she forced the blood from her lungs. Her eyes watered as she whimpered. Holding her chest, she eventually sat up. "My ability is complicated," she muttered looking to the ceiling. "The way I control the air is highly calculated. If I can see or envision the space needed to slow, and how long I need it slowed, I can create gusts strong enough to tear down roofs. This happens because I suddenly release the grip on the space and it's forced to catch back up. I slowed down the time here by a livable moment. If I had gone any slower, they would have died. Second, by speeding up time things are pulled back like a vortex. First, the air rushes past in a large gust before the natural balance tugs it back. I can individually speed time up for objects. Say I'm holding a flower that is dying, I can keep it alive for an extended time by slowing its functions. However, when I let my ability go, its time speeds up and it appears to wilt faster. I can also speed up the flower's time. It wilts away but when I release my ability that state can't change. Instead, it looks whole and perfectly fine but it's still dead." Wiping the blood from her mouth, she tilted on her feet.

"What is the ability called?" Kunikida asked, tilting his head as he looked at the scene in front of them.

"Thy death is timely." Smiling, the female shoved her hands into her pockets. Dazai noticed it and decided to ask the female about it. Before he opened his mouth, the girl sighed. "Well, my hands affect what my ability controls. That means even having my hands exposed to the air can cause problems." Dazai and Kunikida nodded as they waited for the cops to show up.

"You almost got yourself killed." Kunikida grumbled looking at the small female.

"It would have been worth it. If I had died and you both lived, this world would be okay with that." Her hair flowed before her as she slid on the gloves she had discarded. Reaching onto the railing she looked out towards the setting sun. "You're both important to time. I'm a walking disaster. I want to save people to make up for my wasted time. My ability is constantly active within my body. My own time is irregular to that of a human. My body will slow down the blood circulation while speeding my heart up. It changes the way my oxygen flows and speeds up the healing process. All of that keeps me alive. I could help others, but I fell into a life of nothing. The people who did care about me, either forget or die. I left Yokohama to escape that loop. I always wanted to be a detective. It has been my dream since I was little." It was true, every word she said. Looking to the side, she stated something only Chuuya had ever been told. "If I had been shot I'd still be alive. My body would have slowed down the bullet on its own. It would have healed around the bullet so when the time sped up it would be stuck at the brim of my skin. If it were fast enough to pierce through me before my ability took place, I'd still live." gripping the metal she sighed. "Once, I took a bullet for a friend. Straight through the heart. I have a scar there. I took three days to recover. I should have died of that bullet, but my body patched my heart. They had to dig into my body to remove the bullet. When they couldn't do it because of how fast I regenerated, my body eventually pushed the foreign object outside."

Kunikida looked at her with a disgusted expression, that faded into pity when he listened to her talk. "You passed," he stated before walking away. There was no doubt in his mind she had passed. After all, this girl was willing to put herself in harm's way to save. Her words sounded sincere. She told him about the darker part of her ability.
