The ocean color of the male's eyes reflected a slight pain as he sat on a gravestone. His legs crossed over each other as he muttered words to himself. Leaning against a broken-down stone, a female watched him with worry. Since yesterday neither of them had been too happy. She had news that needed to be spoken. She was only 14, he was 15. It was far too soon to separate from each other. Though it had only been a few years, it felt like they had spent a lifetime together.
The female had little time to react before a hand clasped over her mouth and a knife plunged into her stomach. Looking behind her when she collapsed to the floor, she found the two so-called friends Chuuya hung around. The two sheep members who constantly stuck around him. The pink-haired female kept her hand over the girl's mouth. The knife wasn't removed from her but twisted deeper. The cold-hearted glare from the girl she had begun to trust broke down her walls. (Y/n) returned the glare, coughing slight tinges of blood from her mouth before her skin began to close around the knife. Her eyes flew wide as the pain increased. "It's poisoned." the older teen hummed, making sure to keep her distracted.
The boy hadn't noticed the girl disappear from where she had been standing. He didn't think twice when he watched his friend walking close to him. The only shock came when the sharp metal pierced his stomach. His eyes flew wide as he took a step back. "We decided to get rid of you and join them. See, at least, they won't change alliances so quickly." the red-head looked around frantically as he held his hand over the knife.
The girl screamed out his name, slowing down the taller female's time. She broke free and ripped the knife from her skin. Whimpering, she ran forward, looking around at the slowed area around her. When she let her ability go, she stared at her wound. The blood hadn't stopped yet, the wound still trying to slow the process of the poison, and heal the wound she kept opening as she ran. Shoving the white-haired male away, she glared. Looking into her eyes, she was a completely different person. They resembled an old doll's creepy stare. One that made it feel like the doll was watching you no matter how you had it positioned. "What the hell!" she hissed, letting the word spill from her lips as her hand twitched beside her. The boy beside her grabbed her wrist, before cracking the ground beneath them. His gravity manipulation sending them to the ground.
Leaning back against the rock, the male winced and began pulling the knife from his stomach. "Fuck," he grumbled, tossing the knife to the side. His body felt weak and sweaty.
"Here, let me help." the (e/c)-eyed female mumbled. She placed her hand onto the wound, exhaling as she sped up the male's time. Releasing her hand from his body, she watched his face contort in unbearable pain. "Sorry, it's a drawback. Since I'm speeding your body's time up, naturally time sets itself right by yanking at your body... internally. I have to do it in small parts otherwise we risk tearing right through the fabric of your time. That could kill you." the sweet sugar-coated tone in her voice didn't match her eyes. The look she had shouted danger and instability. Once more she tapped his wound watching it close a bit before letting go. The pain on his face was less now. The rat poison seemed to have been shoved out his system. Though he did appear paler. Her mind was so focused on helping him, she didn't seem to notice the brunette mafia member watching them. He even talked to her friend.
That would be for the best though. The bloodbath she seemed so ready to create happened just above them. Healing both herself and her friend depleted her to a soft sleep. Her head rested against the male's lap. His hand ran through her soft locks of hair. Only now did he notice how different it was styled. It looked much more refined and silky now. The (h/c) locks appeared to be slightly darker in color. It ran down to her waist now and even curled near the ends. She was wearing makeup as well. Her lashes were coated in the mascara which now ran lightly over her cheeks. The eyeliner that surrounded her lids lay finally smudged at the edges. Maybe it was the position she lay in, but she looked even thinner than the past days. The dress she wore today was made of very fine silk and velvet. It was almost exact to one he had seen on a vintage doll the other day. It had sleeves that puffed around her arms. Buttons line the white, now blood-stained top portion. The collar fell neatly lined with purple lace. The skirt was a deep royal purple velvet. The under layer, which poked out from the top layer of the skirt, was a fine white lace. The spots of blood and dirt stained it just as they stained the shirt. Her socks were no longer white but slightly brown from the dirt. The lace at the top was torn. One of her black doll-like shoes was missing the white bow on the strap.
They stayed there for a while until the female stirred and finally opened her eyes. The child-ish gleam over her eyes had come back as she smiled and yawned. "You didn't have to stay," she giggled, before watching the male's face contort to a small smile. The corner of his lip was pointed up, a contrast to his usual resting bitch face.
"Your phone rang quite a lot but I didn't answer it." the male mumbled as he held back from cupping her cheek in his hand. Panic spread over her face quickly. That look was replaced with a sigh, as soon as she flipped open her phone to look at who had called her. Dialing the number, she waited for the click.
"Sorry, I was out with a friend." There was silence before shock and anger took over the girl's face. He was seeing sides to her he never thought to think existed in her playful heart. "Huh? Tonight? I haven't even packed yet, Apollo! You're doing this because you're jealous. Well, am I right?" she gripped the phone tightly with crossed arms. "Well for your update I got hurt and my dress is ruined. I can't exactly board a jet like that. I don't even wanna go to London!" another short pause before the girl stood up and stomped her foot. Quickly her attitude flipped. Her body froze as she glanced back at her friend. "Yeah, sure London sounds fine." another pause. "Mhm, I know. Can't wait to meet them. Yes. I understand. I'll be there in a few. Love you too." she replied similarly to a doll who had no choice.
"What was that about?" her friend asked, tilting his head to the side. Touching the locket around her neck, the female yanked it off and handed it to him. She pulled him to his feet before standing on her toes. Her lips brushed his cheek as she closed his hands around the locket.
"I promise I'll be back to see you. You'll have my number, so we can call and text whenever you want. My... fiance and I are moving to London for a bit. It won't be forever. When I'm back I'll spend as much time as I can with you!" the girl was holding back tears. For the first time since they met, she seemed more like a human than a doll. Her eyes were glossy with tears. Her body is shaking and not stiff. Her skin no longer had a doll-like complexion. The boy could only stand and stare with shock. When she turned, his body moved on its own. Grabbing her arm, he looked down at her.
"Why?" he whispered as if he were breaking inside. The female noted their closeness. An emotion taking over her. Her face cupped his and wiped away a single tear. The two allowed their eyes to flutter closed. Letting go of the world, their lips touched for a split moment before the male ripped away from her and ran.
He dove behind a tree only to look back and find the girl smiling tenderly with a finger to her lips. When she turned and walked off, he collapsed to the ground and tossed the locket. "What the hell." he hissed, running his hands through his hair. The confusion in his head matched the rapid, confusing beats within his chest.

Chuuya looked up from his glass, his eyes were coated in gloss. "That boy was me," he grumbled before swallowing the wine in his glass. With a single gulp, he wiped his mouth and set the glass back onto the bar.
"You love her, don't you?" the red-haired female spoke up with sorrowful eyes.
"I don't know," he mumbled before setting his head into his arms and passing out.
"I'll take him back to his apartment." Koyo smiled lightly, picking the boy up and walking to her car.
