haruto

I went to Rima's house today for rehearsals. We tried practicing new and fun songs to be hyped. We both need a mood to get an inspiration.

Though, Rima seemed a little down today.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"Hm?"
"We're practicing for our big stage. You're not excited?"
"No, it's not like that.." she looked down.
"Then what is it?" I walked closer to her and knelt a little so I can see her face, which looked so red.
"L-Let's focus on practicing, okay." she picked another music to eliminate the topic.

I've never seen her like this. She's usually comfortable around me.

After hours of practicing, we decided to call it a day.
"Thanks for today, Ruto-kun." she faked her smile and closed the door behind her.

What happened to her?

It's the first time I've seen Rima like this and I feel uncomfortable. Maybe I should ask her what's wrong? Or probably she's not comfortable with sharing it either.

Suddenly, my phone rang. Mom was calling me.

"Haruto?"
"I'm coming home, mom."
"Oh that's great! We have visitors today."
"Who?"
"Your grandparents."
"Is dad around?"
"Well, he went back home to clear up his head. But we had a talk already."
"I hope that's the last, mom. I don't want my sister to see both of you fighting again." I said with a serious tone.
"We love both of you, honey. We'll do our best to be the parents you deserve."

I am seriously pissed off whenever they're fighting, but I know that mom's a good soul and she can fix this problem with the right words.

"Thanks, mom. You're already a great one." I can feel her smile as she talk to me.
"Okay now, hurry up! We don't want our guests waiting!"
"Alright, mom. Will be there."

I hung up and hastened my pace. I really hope things would get better from here. I only want happiness for my sister. I cherish her more than anyone in this world.

I hurriedly changed my clothes as my mom's voice echoed in the house. Mom will have dinner with her co-workers, along with their kids. Their boss is pretty loaded and decided to treat them for their service.

"I want you to look presentable. You're going to see one of the most generous men in this country. Show him gratitude, alright?"

"Yes, mom." Heeseung and I answered.

*venue*

MAN, I BET "PRETTY LOADED" IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

We're standing in Seoul's most expensive restaurant.

"For real?" Heeseung exclaimed.

Their boss walked towards us with a smile. The three of us bowed.

"Welcome! Please, have a seat in the buffet area." he showed us the way.
"Thank you, sir."

There was an area for us teens and kids in the corner so we went that way. Our mom's table was across ours.

A few minutes later, someone sat beside me. The person's presence felt so familiar, so I tried to peek. But he turned to me and, jesus

"Eunri! I never knew I'd meet you here." he smiled at me, and it's still as warm as ever.
"Woah, Junghwan."
"You look pretty."
All the girls in our table gasped and whispered.
"Why are you here?" I asked him.
"Well, my dad's the boss."

w-woah hold on...

he's the boss' son...

he's rich as fuc

"Really? Please tell your dad that we're really thankful for his generosity."
"Of course! Anything for a pretty and kind classmate."

Hours passed by and our parents seemed to be having a good time.
"I want to go home." Heeseung sighed. "But I guess mom doesn't want to yet."

I nodded and played with my fingers. I felt so uneasy with Junghwan beside me. Maybe because, I have feelings for Haruto now?

"You good?" Junghwan asked.
"Just a little tired, that's all." I smiled.
"I'm going to the balcony to get some fresh air. Wanna come?"
I thought for a while and agreed. I'm sure Haruto won't mind...

I mean, we aren't couples yet...but I feel conscious with my actions.

We went out and the scenery looked really great. The moon was shaped like a crescent and there were a lot of stars shining in the night sky.

"This is a very beautiful place, don't you think?"
"Yeah. I've never seen a sight like this before."
"This is where I relax whenever I take a break from my social status. School is also one of my favorite places to take it easy. Though, I need to maintain my grades."
"You're academically smart. You don't need to stress about it." I giggled.
"I don't want to be too confident with my skills. My own achievements can bring me down."
"Hmm. Pressure from society?"
"Yeah."

I never knew Junghwan would be this exhausted. I always think that kids from rich families have it easy. Junghwan was the first to prove me wrong.

"You can hang out with me and my friends if you want to explore new things. I think we know so much about entertainment than you do." I smiled.
"Really? I'm embarassed." He looked down and ughh he looks so cute.
"We'd love to have a new friend."
"Thanks, Eunri. You're such a reliable person." he softly smiled.

I looked at the moon once more and Junghwan suddenly hugged me before I can even react.
"J-Junghwan."
"That's why I admire you, Eunri. And now you know more about me, it makes my feelings for you grow stronger."
"Junghwan, I-"

Junghwan hugged me like he doesn't want to let go. I felt his heart beat really fast and before I knew, my arms  moved on their own and hugged Junghwan back.

What am I gonna do now...
