I checked the time and put all the things in my bag. I did my hair neatly and wore my headdress.

"Mom, I'll go now!"
"Okay, take care honey!" her raspy voice was starting to be noticeable.
"Don't forget the homemade drink I made for you!" I reminded her and took off.

I looked at the time and thAnk gOd it's still early. I can buy a cup of milktea nearby.

beep beep

"Huh"

A silver car drove by and stopped a few meters from me. I recognized the car and smiled.

"Jagi(babe)!" I called and ran to his car.
"Hey, babe. I missed you!" Junghwan went out of the car and hugged me tightly.
"How's your business trip?"
"Really good, though I felt lonely." he pouted. I think he's signalling me to give him something. He's so cute .///.
"I know just what you need." I kissed his lips. I can feel him smile and happily kissed me back.
"I miss your lips." he cooed.
"Me too, hihi. Let's go, I'm gonna be late." I giggled and he let me in his car.

After passing by a milktea shop, Junghwan drove me to my workplace.
"We're here!"
"Kamsahae, jagiyaa!" I kissed his cheeks and waved goodbye.
"Come home early tonight, I have a surprise for you!" I nodded and he gave me a flying kiss and took off.

We've been dating for 2 years now. Junghwan is a really good boyfriend to me and he supported me with everything i want. He would come to our house to check on my Mom which is really sweet and thoughtful of him. I've never been this happy at all.

"Ah, Nurse Lee. Can you please look after the patient in Room 24?" a fellow nurse asked me.
"Of course!" I smiled and immediately went to check on the patient.

---- at home ----

"Junghwan, welcome!" Mom smiled, sitting on her rocking chair.
"Good evening, Mrs. Lee. How are you feeling today?" he went to Mom and held her hand.
I watched them converse and I felt so warm and fuzzy inside. Junghwan is really concerned of my Mom.

I went to the kitchen and cooked tteokbeokki. I can hear Mom and Junghwan laughing from here.
"Eunri, do you need help?" Junghwan asked.
"Oh, can you get the fish cakes from the fridge?" I asked and he got them for me. He also took a pack of cheese.
"Oh yeah, the cheese. Thank you." I smiled.

I'm so lucky to have Junghwan. He's indeed the man of my dreams and he never lets me down.
"Does my jagi want some alone time with me later?" Junghwan suggestively asked me. I giggled and brushed my finger against his cute little nose. "Sure, I'm excited for your surprise, hihi."
Junghwan kissed me on my head and went back to my Mom.

"So, what is it?" I whispered to him while we were quietly sneaking to the rooftop.
"Let's make a blanket canopy." Junghwan said. I got so excited for whatever he's planning tonight.
"Oh, I forgot! Let me get something downstairs."
I went out of the canopy and lied down on a bench, admiring the stars. I closed my eyes and wished.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw Junghwan looking at me upside down.
"Junghwa-"

I was silenced by his kiss. I can sense my cheeks heat up too fast and Junghwan's eyes smiled, looking satisfied.
"You're so cute when you blush, baby."
"You keep on teasing me." I pouted.
"You can't do anything about it." he chuckled.

"So, what's the surprise?"

Junghwan turned to me and walked closer. He had this really sincere expression and for some reason...I got nervous. He has been waiting and courting me for 7 years to finally get my answer. Just two years ago, a feeling of euphoria took over me when I agreed to date him.

And now I'm nervous. I suddenly thought of being with Junghwan for the rest of my life. Waking up next to him, cooking for him, living under the same roof with him, I can't wait!

As I thought about these things, my heart beated fast and loud. I can feel my eyes tear up.

"Eunri..."
"Yes?"
"I've been working for this real hard. And now that it's time, I really want you to know that..."

I closed my eyes, did the stars hear my wish? will they really make it come true?
