When I reach Marcus he is barking orders at the guards. "Marcus! Hey, what's going on?"
He glances my way then goes back to what he was doing, "Karina, I can't talk now I'm busy."
"Well now you're not." I say impatiently.
He matches my impatience and glares at me. "I don't think you understand the severity of this situation."
"I probably don't," I admit. "But as Luna of the pack I feel like I should have private training." I blurt.
He gives me a look that makes me regret my words, "You're very entitled." He says as he runs a hand through his salt and pepper hair.
"So I'm entitled because I want to learn one on one?" I know that it sounds completely like a spoiled rich kid but I hope that standing my ground will change his stance on the topic.
"Do you think Charles learned one on one just because he was the son of the alpha?"
"No but I-"
"Enough! We can talk about it another time. I have to take care of something."
I turn on the mind link and suddenly I'm flooded with urgent thoughts. "MAYDAY MAYDAY! There is a breach in the southwestern border! We need reinforcements immead-"
Another thought fights for command of my mind, "Rogues have overrun the northwestern border. I repea-"
"The entire western border has been compromised! Alpha Charles we need reinforcements!"
I turn the mind link off in fear of even scarier messages I might hear. I turn back to Marcus who is already transformed into his wolf and is running for the western border.
I should stay and patrol for any other rogues, but then again what if they need my help? This could be my one and only chance to prove to Marcus that I can be strong. I transform into my wolf and follow Marcus.
