"Wake up, Luna." The brisk air jolts me awake. And I see my teacher standing over me.
"Do I have to? It's raining, and it's cold." I'm shivering under my sweater and I see a flash of disappointment on his face.
"Do you want to get stronger or not? I've let you sleep in the past few days because you caught that deer, but I won't let you get lazy. Now get up." He's ten seconds away from having a temper tantrum so I shouldn't argue.
We jog around for at least five miles and he shows no signs of slowing down. That is until I spot him. A tall lean man, whose good looks could kill. "Karina, I think we're in another pack's territory. We should head back."
"Who's there?" My heart completely stops and I notice that Jack already has his hand wrapped firmly around my upper arm. "Just leave whoever you are. I'm giving you the chance to run away." The voice calls again.
"Come on. We're leaving, now." Jack turns me around and runs back, tugging me along with him. I take one last glance behind me and a pair of golden orbs fixed on me. His warm eyes enchant me even after they disappear behind the trees.
