Chapter Twenty- Peter Wonders and Tony Worries

Peter had no interest in Loki that way, and wondered why Ash would be concerned in the first place. As he stood there he also noted the now-barren look of the room, and noted that all of their personal possessions were already gone. 'Ash must have moved all of their things to the new compound already...' Peter thought to himself, and his heart sank.

He knew it would be at least a day before he would be able to tackle the misunderstanding that seemed to have arisen. 'Loki is cute, but Ash is way more my type.....wait! No! What!? Stop that brain!! Neither is "my type", I like girls!! Not that there is anything wrong with liking boys.....' Peter's mind suddenly filled with pure confusion, and conflicted feelings, as he worked thru his frantic thoughts, 'And even if I did like them, it doesn't matter, since they are clearly together and have been from the start! I would never make a move on someone else's partner, guy or girl!....' Peter shook his head vehemently and released a sad sigh before moving on in his thoughts, 'Ahhhh, hell.... I like boys too, don't I...? So what does that make me then? Bisexual maybe?' Peter had continued his internal debate as he moved back down the hallway towards the lab only to blurt out a confused question as soon as he saw Mr. Stark, "If someone likes both guys and girls, does that make them bisexual!?"

Tony stared at the utterly confused and conflicted look on Peter's face for a moment before replying, already adding to his protection plans for the kid while still processing the new info.
"That is the main accepted definition of the word the last that I checked..." Tony quipped, "Though there is some minor debate on whether it includes more than two, or if it is just any two genders in general....Any particular reason why you asked, Underoos....?" He continued by prying gently.

"Hmmm, makes sense then...." Peter muttered to himself as he tapped his chin. He had plopped himself into a spare office chair and spun himself lazily in a circle while still lost in his own thoughts. Suddenly, he bolted upright and ran back out of the room and down the hall. Tony, now concerned, followed soon after only to find Peter standing in the Ash and Loki's room with a grin on his face as wide as the Cheshire cat's. 'They opened the curtains! Letting light in is a great sign!! The jealousy is bad, but letting in light is a sign of healing!!' Peter thought enthusiastically.

"Care to explain why the hell you thought giving me a heart attack was a good idea!?" Tony sputtered out once he knew that there was no danger, sagging against the doorframe as the adrenaline spike wore off. Peter spun around and webbed Tony in place as his own heart raced from the shock of him suddenly popping up behind him. A small, high pitched scream accompanied the action.

As Peter's heart slowed down, and his action sunk in, a new form of fear began to take hold. "Oh....shit...." He whispered to himself. His former grin was nowhere to be seen. "Don't worry Mr. Stark! I developed a new spray formula last week that can get you out of those webs in no time!" He stuttered out quickly as he darted past the trapped billionaire. Coming back with the spray he was a tad hesitant. "This hasn't actually been tested yet. I made it because it was taking far too long for law enforcement to get criminals out of my webbing, so....keeping clothing intact wasn't exactly a primary concern..." Peter sputtered out, only for Tony to glare at him. "So, you're saying my suit jacket might get damaged?" Tony quipped darkly, "Do you really think I care?"

"Well....like I said, it hasn't been tested. It could just as easily dissolve your skin..." Peter admitted softly right before he began spraying it over the excess webbing along the doorframe. Making sure it didn't spray onto Tony, Peter watched as his webbing slowly softened and dissolved. Watching the wall behind the webbing for any sign of damage or decay he was pleased to see no immediate changes. "Well....this is a good sign. The paint and wall don't seem to have developed any detrimental side effects. It's up to you if you want to risk a direct contact though..."
