Chapter Fourty-Five- Love is in the Air

Shoop was bent over his desk, pants and underwear down around his ankles, with one of the female doctors spread out before him, her ankles wrapped around his hips. Her clothes had been strewn around the room, a bra hanging off of the light shade above them, panties along the back of the short leather couch to the right that Shoop often took daily cat naps on.

"Oh, god, Beth!" Shoop moaned as the two Avengers stood stunned in the doorway, as yet unnoticed by the two inside, "I love you!"

"William!" Beth shouted, clearly enjoying herself immensely, "I love you too! Don't stop!!"

Bruce, deciding on the better part of valor, quietly flipped the lock on the office door and slowly pulled it shut as they left, before the amorous couple could notice them. Turning to Nat he simply said, "I'll just send him an email and a text instead...."

"Yeah.... Good idea..." She replied, her eyebrows up in her hairline as an odd expression flitted across her face, "Hey, Bruce..." She called as he had started to walk away, stopping him, "Would you like to have dinner with me?"

Bruce looked surprised, but happy at the invitation, and despite his exhaustion he accepted. As they walked slowly towards her apartment he was even more shocked when she slid her hand into his, twining their fingers together in a comforting hold. Looking down at her, he was surprised to see a faint blush dusting her cheeks.

When they finally made it to her place, and were walking inside, is when he remembered to ask her, "So what were you thinking about for dinner? I could order from local delivery..." As he finished speaking, Nat shut the door and crowded him back up against the thick wood surface. Pulling his head down towards her, Nat surprised him with a deep, passionate kiss.

Bruce sank into it for a minute, moaning deep in his throat. It had been so long since he had done anything, even with himself, as he feared what might happen if Hulk got out. But as soon as the moan left his lips, he could feel the Hulk press up under his skin, straining to get loose. He jerked away, pushing Nat back even as he tried to calm the ragged breathing from his own arousal. Nat tried to pull his head down again before he shouted, "Nat! Stop!"

She had been just as lost in the kiss as he had, and when he shouted, it snapped her back to reality. "You don't want to?" She asked him, knowing the answer already, even as her mind thought of a dozen new ways they could make it work. "Nat, please...." Bruce choked out, his self control held by a thin thread indeed when it came to the gorgeous assassin, "If you just looked down you'd know exactly how much I want you...but we can't!"

"Why not? Hulk won't hurt me, and I'm pretty sure I can tire him out before he gets into trouble...." Nat said bluntly, her very words almost saucy enough to turn him green right then, but he was still terrified he would hurt her, and he couldn't live with himself if he did, so he fought against it, "Please, Nat... Don't..."

"Who is it that can calm him down? Hum?" Nat coaxed gently, running a calming hand along Bruce's shoulder, feeling the muscles under his jacket shudder, "And if I redirect his anger into arousal instead...."

Before she could even finish her sentence, she was the one pressed into the apartment door.
