Make a wish when your childhood dies
Hear the knock, knock, knock when she cries
We're all alone tonight
Hold your breath when a black bird flies
Count to seventeen and close your eyes
I'll keep you safe inside—

SEVERAL MONTHS HAD PASSED SINCE THE ADDED members of the group had arrived. And there was a lot to catch them upon. Gerard and Sherri working a little more to make sure they were geared up, and ready to be out in the desert when they needed to be. They didn't need extra luggage when it came to group members. So, they had to make sure they were skilled and prepared for anything.
Sherri was in charge of getting them ray guns, and their masks. Not having a creative bone in her body she left the customizations to Gerard and Frank the two creative boys of the group. She was able to find some clothes in the black market that she was able to trade. Even hair dye that Mikey had requested.
Gerard was given the job to make sure they were able to protect themselves, in combat. He only knew the basics and that was all he was able to teach them. But it's what is needed to know to protect themselves.
Currently, Gerard was sat on a lawn chair wearing sunglasses as he watched Sherri target practice with the others.
She was sporting her Hello Kitty cropped tank as she walked in front of the boys.
"Okay today we are learning how to shoot, and that means at all times if you are not facing a person, you have the gun facing towards the ground," she paused to make sure the boys were listening.
They were all squinting against the harsh sun since they didn't have sunglasses as she did.
"Do you understand?" she asked them, this time walking closer, to Mikey who had now had blonde hair rather than dark brown.
"Yes," he said a little scared. He knew that she wouldn't hurt him, but something about the way her voice carried authority was scary. She also knew how to handle a gun and wasn't going to take his chances.
"Good," she said in a softer voice, "You will go first," she stated moving aside to let him step forward, "Shoot the cans down."
Mikey nodded and lifted his gun making sure that he wasn't pointing at any person. Lifting his finger to the trigger and pressing on it. Watching the colorful laser shoot out and miss the can. He frowned in disappointment.
Sherri hummed and stepped closer to him, "You aim with this up here," she pointed out the top of the weapon, "try again."
And that he did, this time coming closer to the can but not hitting it still. He groaned inwardly, a little irritated that he had missed yet again.
