Felix sulked his way into his room after his mom said a whole bucket full of disgusting words to him."Don't you dare ever do that again! If I come home and see someone I don't know, I will personally stab you until you bleed out and die!" Felix's mom, Vicky, threatened. Felix felt his pale lips tremble as he sniffed silently. He sunk on his bed like a rock, wishing the world would just swallow him whole. His head felt like it was pounding and pushing up against his brain, all he wanted to do was close his eyes and that's what he did.
Familiar blackness filled Felix's vision, but this time he wasn't scared. After a second of standing in the void, tears started falling down his face. But Felix wasn't sad, even though tears were falling out of his eyes at record speed, it was starting to make him feel a little crappy. A puff of fog appeared to cover the monster's entrance, Felix backed up because of how close the thing was to him. Having the heavy tears drip down his chest, he had to look up at the 9 foot monster because of his 5'8 height as it spoke.
"Sadness is the key to the globs, it bubbles up inside of you and it will come out one way or another. Thanks to her you have this power, creating the worst memories but the best globs. What is the opposite of sadness, think about that, you worthless mortal. Beware of that strong emotion, whoever makes you feel it the most I believe you should stick with. The same goes with the ladder emotion, stick with her and you will be prosperous."
Like the last time Felix had seen the monster, it backed up into the darkness and he woke up crying. Before he could forget, Felix wrote down the strange riddle the monster said. Felix put his favorite purple hoodie on and stuffed the piece of paper in his pocket, then he ran down the stairs. He saw the kitchen in the corner of his eyes and remembered what Dawson said about breakfast, he grabbed a banana and rushed out the door to not be late for school.
"I really need to learn time management! I'm always late!" Felix huffed. As he said that, there was a car horn blowing in his ears. Felix thought that he was in their way or they were trying to kidnap him, so instead of a fast walk, he started at an awkward jog.
"What the...? Why are you running away? Don't you want a ride?" Asked the stranger from the car's driver seat. Felix was about to say no, but he realized that the voice he heard was Dawson.
"Yes! Sorry, I thought you were trying to kidnap me!" Felix laughed nervously.
"If I wanted to kidnap you, I would." Dawson laughed at his own disturbing joke as Felix struggled to get into his tall truck. Felix looked at the time on the car's clock and told Dawson to drive faster.
"I'm sorry, I really need to get to class! I can't skip this time, but I will talk to you at lunch?" Felix told Dawson as he helped him get on the ground from the truck. Dawson nodded his head as Felix muttered about how late he was.
Dawson left class a little bit early to beat the lunch rush and go find Felix's classroom. Having stalked Felix just two days before paid off, because he now knows where his class is. He leaned against the wall and played on his phone for a couple of minutes. Once the bell rang, all the students left the room as fast as they could to get a good table in the cafeteria. Dawson couldn't wait for him and stomped into the class, even though he was slightly taller than Felix, at the height of 6'1. They still bumped their foreheads on each other, hard. Making Felix fall onto the ground and hit his head on the floor.
"God..." Dawson rubbed his head. "Why are you so slow?"
"I... don't know... I'm really sorry! Are you ok?" Felix said in a weird voice, sounding scared and kind of nasally.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why are you so worried- oh my god! Felix your head is..."
"What! What's wrong with my head!?" Felix whimpered loudly.
"Nothing... I saw it wrong, I need to get something from the nurses' office and you're coming with me." Dawson said as he slowly and gently helped him off the ground, trying to keep him from seeing the small blood puddle under his head.
When they made it to the nurse's office Dawson finally told Felix.
"Why didn't you tell me!" Felix shouted angrily at Dawson, who was patching up the back of his head.
"Because I knew you would panic! And probably makes the bleeding worse, you really should be thanking me!" Dawson yelled back at Felix.
"Well, thank you for helping me." Huffed Felix. He wasn't expecting anything to be said back to him, so what Dawson said surprised him.
"Your... welcome Felix."
Those three simple words made Felix's heart race and blood rush straight to his face. For anyone else, those words would mean nothing. But for Felix it meant the world, especially coming from Dawson. Felix turned around to see Dawson staring at him, they looked at each other as Dawson's hand stayed in Felix's brown hair, twisting his fingers in it. Felix's face turned from a slight pink to deep green, he quickly covered his mouth. Dawson saw his adams apple bop up and down, so he let go of Felix's hair to look around to room for something. Dawson started to panic as he heard Felix gag, so he just picked up the plastic trash can and handed it to him. He stood up and looked away to give Felix some privacy to do what he needed to do.
"Damn it, Felix! I keep doing that by accident... I'll try to stop making you happy...?" Dawson sighed as he got frustrated with himself because he kept causing Felix so much pain.
"Dawson... I... look..." Felix muttered. Then Dawson turned around and yelled, "What! What do you need, I'm this close-"
Dawson stopped his rampage as he saw what Felix was looking at. Both of their jaws dropped as they saw Felix's glob. Sloshing in the small trash can, not melting it but just sitting there.
"How did it...?" Felix whispered as he wiggled the trash back and forth. Somehow the glob wasn't melting the trash can, they both were absolutely astonished.
"Wait..." Dawson turned around and picked up a jar, then took the lid off. "Lets see if it melts."
He placed the lid on the glob and almost as soon as he let go of it, it disintegrated.
"What is this thing made out of? Gold?" Dawson questioned.
"No, plastic... plastic?" Felix mumbled as he reached for a plastic water bottle. He placed it in the can and it just floated.
"Wow... plastic is... it's weakness? Good for you I guess!" Dawson threw his arms up and clapped for him.
