Dawson sat on the couch of his living room, while Wyatt had his tummy time on the ground. Dawson zoned out as the background noise of some baby show played. He finally snapped out of his daze when he heard the sound of Octavia's car pull into the driveway. He picked Wyatt up, tickled him a bit, and then went to greet Octavia in. Dawson watched as the door swung open, seeing not one, but two people.
"We're home!" Octavia proclaimed.
Dawson's eyes widened at the sight before him, Felix. Felix with an arm cast, a limp, tiny cuts, and a huge smile on his face.
"Felix?" Dawson mused.
"Hi..." Felix chuckled awkwardly.
"So, Felix is going to stay with us for a while... or until they take him away... But you're gonna be his in-home caretaker!"
"I am completely fine with that." Dawson smirked, staring at Felix.
Dawson's longing stare made Felix's face warm and his hands clammy.
"God, Dawson... Stop looking at him like that, you weirdo." Octavia fake gagged.
"Whatever." Dawson rolled his eyes, "Come on, let's go."
Dawson held his hand out for Felix to take it, and Felix did just that. Dawson led him up the steps as carefully as possible, as if Felix was a flower that could fall apart at any moment. They made it to the bedroom and sat down on the bed. Dawson sighed and said, "I'm happy you get to stay with us."
"Me too. If Octavia didn't say she was my guardian before... I think I would've been in a foster home." Felix suspected.
"Damn, that would've made things a lot more difficult."
"Mhm."
The two boys sat in silence as their conversation ran dry. For reasons unknown to them, the air felt awkward. It hadn't felt that way in a while, so they didn't know how to change it.
"Um-" Felix started.
"Yeah?" Dawson answered.
"Movie...?" Felix suggested quietly.
"I thought you'd never ask!" Dawson smirked, grabbing his computer from the floor.

Dawson looked at his computer, not really watching the movie. As the movie began, he had remembered his dream from earlier in the day. The dream of Vangrox saying it would destroy the school in a week. He wanted, needed, to tell Felix, but he didn't know how to bring it up. Felix was finally happy, ingrained in the comedy they were watching. Dawson still felt a bit guilty for forgetting his dream about Felix and getting him into the hospital, he couldn't put more stress on him.
"Dawson?"
"Huh?" Dawson snapped back into reality.
"Are you ok? You look pretty annoyed watching a funny movie?" Felix commented.
"Oh, uh," Dawson knew he needed to tell Felix now, "I- just... ugh!"
"What..." Felix paused the movie, "What's wrong... is it me?"
"No! No no no no! It's not, it's something else," Dawson sighed, "I had a dream."
