"I can tell you this now, Rogers, I am a brilliant liar" Tony slurred.Steve laughed as he carried him out of living room and into the bedroom, Pepper scurrying behind them. "Oh really, and why's that?"
"Here, I'll tell you but you gotta promise not to tell" Steve couldn't help but chuckled at his childishness.
"Promise"
Tony the grabbed his head and whispered in his ear, "the suits not made of just iron" Just like that Stark erupted with laughter as his body hit the soft and tender mattress.
Pepper starts to undo Tony's shoes, and Steve quickly turns to her. "Let me know if he needs anything."
She gives him a small smile "thank you Steve"
"Night Tony!" Said Steve walking out the room.
"Night Capsicle!"
Pepper rolled her eyes at Tony's passed out drunk body. "I'm so done with your shit Tony"
As Steve entered the living room, he saw the rest of the avengers, sat in a circle on the floor.
"Oh hello old man, haven't seen you all night" Natasha piped up. Steve made his way over to the bar and poured himself a glass of water. "I didn't really feel like partying tonight in all honesty"
"I saw you earlier actually with someone on the balcony?" Bruce asked sheepishly "who was that?"
Steve took a sip of his drink as he sat down with the rest of the group, he let out a deep sigh "I don't know I only met her tonight, her name was (Y/n)?" He looked around the group for a look of recognition.
Not a thing.
"I do not know of any (Y/n)" Thor told him leaning back in his seat. "Yeah same, doesn't ring any bells Steve" Maria shrugged.
"Sorry Steve" Natasha said, pointing at him, "looks like your Cinderella's gone without leaving any glass slipper". Steve let out a laugh, as did everyone else. "Knock it off Romanoff".

This is crazy
I can't believe I'm doing this
It was 5 in the morning. Steve had training from 6. So why the hell was he staring at his computer screen with her name in the google search engine?
He hadn't pressed enter yet. He was still debating if this was creepy or not. This has to be normal right?
Tony said people google who they find attractive all the time.
But since when have I taken Tony's advice?
Groaning, Steve shut down his computer. Natasha was right, She had left him without a glass slipper, surely that would be an indication that she wouldn't want to see him again.
The sun was starting to come up now, there was no point on going to bed now. Steve and got dressed and headed out the door, he hoped maybe a run could shake off the thought of her.
Steve liked this time of day the most, it was somewhat quiet, not many people were out so he knew he wouldn't get recognised easily. The road was still went from the rain last night, another thing that kept him up.
As the sun rose fully, more and more people filled the streets of New York, on there way to their busy office jobs. Putting his hood up, he started jogging back to his apartment, he had work to do today, no time for distraction. All of a sudden a shoulder collided with his and papers had started flying to the floor.
"Oh Jesus, I'm sorry" The person apologised as she bent over to pick up her documents. Steve immediately went to help her, picking up some of the papers that had been ruined in a puddle. "It's my fault I should have looked where I was..." as he laid his eyes upon her, the realisation settled in. "(Y/n)?"
Her eyes widened slightly as she seemingly remembered the previous night, "oh, Steve hi" she sounded surprised, which to be fair was understandable, it had been merely hours and here they were once again. "How weird is this?" She giggled
"Very weird, but I guess it's a small world, huh?" Steve asked, attempting to play it cool. "How are you?"
She took a small sharp breath, something others would notice, but Steve did "I'm fine, and yourself?"
He smiled at her "I'm good, so headed anywhere nice?" She was dressed too fancy and professional, almost outdoing the other workaholic New Yorkers surrounding them. "I have a job interview in an hour"
"Are you doing anything right now?" Steve asked, raising an eyebrow, he didn't know if he was being too forward, but to be honest he didn't care all that much.
"Well, no...why?" Now it was her turn to raise the eyebrow.
He stuffed his hands in his pockets, his hands once again becoming clammy and sweaty. "Would you like to get a coffee with me?"
"I don't know Steve, I really can't be late for this interview" and there goes his hope, all gone.
of course she's too busy for you.
He smiled, already starting to walk away, "that's fine, good luck with your interview."
(Y/n) frowned, he was really just trying to be sweet to her, and a coffee was very much needed after the night she had.
"Hey Steve!"
His head whipped around when he heard her call and the sound of heels clicking after him. "One coffee, but we have to make it quick"
He furrowed his eyebrows "I thought you sa-"
"I really need one, and you look like you do too, come on" he said, spinning on her heel and heading to the park exit.
Without hesitation he followed suit, he needed a glass slipper this time.
