Chapter 18:

Month 8 - August

Kei and Mizuki were packing up some of their furniture and appliances in preparation for their move to his childhood home. Although it wasn't a huge house, it was filled with old memories that they cherished as young teens, and they were looking forward to creating new ones too. On another note, they sold their small apartment to Koganegawa, their long-time friend.

Mizuki leaned back against the sofa comfortably and watched her husband place their microwave in a cardboard box. She would be helping more if it weren't for the fact that she literally found it so difficult to move because of her pregnancy condition. She was experiencing general discomfort all over her body, and what felt like endless fatigue even just walking down the stairs to throw garbage away.

"Baby?" Mizuki bit her lip.

"Yeah?" Kei looked up to meet her gaze as beads of sweat dripped down his face. His cheeks were flushed a faint crimson color from the exertion and his glasses had become lopsided due to his constant movements. Nevertheless, he was hot as hell.

"You are so hot right now... You're so irritating..." She whined, pouting at him.

"I'm... sorry...?" He blinked in confusion.

"So not fair..." She mumbled as she ogled her husband's tense, muscular arms.

As soon as Kei realized what she was gawking at, he shook his head and smiled.

"You enjoy watching me lift appliances?" Kei smirked.

"Yes..." Mizuki admitted, "Very, very much."

"Too bad all you can do is watch..." He teased, causing her to grimace.

During their last doctor's appointment, their doctor advised them not to be too intimate because doing so might stimulate contractions. Early contractions could lead to premature birth which might cause pregnancy complications so for the next few weeks, sex was off the table. Too bad for Mizuki, indeed.

"You're the worst, you know that?" She muttered in frustration.

"I'm offended you would say that..." Kei gasped exaggeratedly.

Mizuki shifted in her seat and sighed, gazing away from her fine-as-hell husband. Kei had always been attractive - ever since they were first-years in Karasuno High, he was clouded in a balanced aura of composure and cockiness that drew her to him. It didn't help that he knew how to charm her, even when they weren't dating.

"Remember when we were first-years in Karasuno?" Mizuki smiled as she recalled their fondest memories together.

"Mhm," He replied coolly as he strolled over to the kitchen to grab their coffee maker, "I remember on the first day of school, you knocked over a whole row of people because you tripped."

"That's not how it happened and you know it!" She frowned, "Rina accidentally knocked me over... I didn't do it on purpose!"

Kei snickered as she rolled her eyes. He placed their coffee maker on top of the microwave and grabbed the tape to seal the cardboard box.

"Why are you bringing up us as first-years?" He asked curiously.

"I just remembered how surprised I was when I saw you for the first time in years..." Mizuki smiled softly, "I didn't think I would ever see you again if I'm being honest."

"Why not?"

"I don't know..." She laughed lightly, "I thought you moved away or something..."

"Actually, you were the one that moved away..." He pointed out.
