Chapter 27: Loyalty

Chapter 27:

Mizuki, Rina, Kojima Sara, and her teammates were at a nightclub in downtown Tokyo to have some much-awaited fun. Mizuki drank some alcohol as she danced the night away with her friends, temporarily taking a break from her parental duties. Her husband was at their hotel room with some of their friends (Bokuto, Akaashi, and Kuroo) taking care of Hana as well as Bokuto and Akaashi's sons.

"Mizuki-chan!" Kojima exclaimed loudly as she flailed her arms around Mizuki, "We missed you! I'm so glad you're here!"

"I missed you all too!" She beamed.

"Captain really needed this tonight..." Kojima sighed, "All of us here, supporting her..."

"Why?"

"Don't tell her I told you but she caught her husband cheating on her when she went back home to Kyoto a few weeks ago..." Kojima explained as she shook her head, "Apparently, he cheated on her with some random girl he met at a work conference."

"Oh no..." Mizuki grimaced, her gaze trailing off to her captain who was haphazardly drinking shots of vodka next to a couple of their teammates, "Is she alright?"

"She claims that she's fine but I heard her crying in the locker room a few days ago..." Kojima frowned, "Her husband is a jerk..."

"Yeah... I can't even imagine what I would do in that situation..." Mizuki mumbled.

"If Atsumu ever cheated on me, I would cut off his-" Kojima was suddenly interrupted by Rina who stumbled in front of them with a tray of shot glasses.

"Why do you both look so glum?!" She asked, "Here, have some drinks!"

"Thanks, Rina..." Mizuki chuckled, "You're right! We should be having some fun!"

"That's right!"

After drinking a few more shots, Mizuki joined her friends and teammates on the dance floor. They slipped and blended themselves among the rowdy crowd, away from the bar filled with men trying to flirt and sleep their way with women, even if they weren't single. Mizuki swayed her body along with the blaring music, her hands in the air, as the bright, colorful lights flashed around her. She hadn't gone clubbing since she married Kei, and although she didn't care for it much, she did miss it.

"Hey there," A voice murmured behind Mizuki, "You look like you're having fun!"

She spun around and noticed a very attractive man smiling at her.

"I am, thank you!" She grinned - she was clearly a little bit inebriated.

"Want to get out of here and have some more fun?" He smirked.

"No thanks!" Mizuki shook her head, flashing the ring on her finger, "I'm married!"

"I don't see your husband around..." The man commented, snaking his arm around her waist.

"Hey, dipshit! Get your arms off of my best friend!" Rina yelled out as she stomped over to them.

The man backed off instantly when he noticed that Rina and a few of Mizuki's friends began crowding around her.

"Tch..." He rolled his eyes before walking away in defeat as Mizuki waved goodbye to him.

"Are you okay, Mizuki?" Rina asked worriedly.

"Yes!" She laughed, nearly stumbling forward, "I can't feel my feet!"

"You're very drunk!" Rina giggled, "Want to leave?"

"What?! Not yet!" Kojima whined, "It's only midnight!"

"Kojima-san's right!" Mizuki exclaimed fiercely, "We have to dance until we can't dance anymore!"
