Guren watched Kimizuki's blades shaking, "At least one's putting up a fight," He says, I look up at him, the two of us were finally alone, "Hey... Nii... San..." I look at the ground, Guren looks at me, I felt tears well up, he smiles and slowly walks over, "It's been ten years? I'm sorry Ki I haven't searched for you?" He hugs me tight, I gripped onto his blazer, "Stupid Nii-san! Why did you make me wait for so long!" I cried, he pets my head, "Trust me when I said I was training hard, to get back at the vamps, to find you and save you again. Yuki Ichinose. I'm sorry." He holds me tight. I still remember that day, when Yuu and I arrived to the outside world, when I finally woke up on a bed, I saw a man with black hair and purple eyes just like me, he slid his blazer off and unbuttoned his shirt, pulling down the sleeve and the district Ichinose Clan Kamon imprinted on his shoulder, my eyes widen and I frantically lift up the white uniform I had to wear and saw my Ichinose Clan Kamon, "Welcome home. Ki." He smiles, memories suddenly flooded my mind, when our parents died, playing with my older brother, child services taking us into different orphanages, a tear dripped down, "Nii-san? Guren?" I look up hopefully, he smiles, "I've searched for so long, you're finally safe." He holds my head and grabs onto my tight, his smell flooded into my nose, it was so nostalgic, it felt safe, "Nii-san." I sobbed and latched onto him like he was my life source. 

After losing Mika, he was the rock that set my life straight again. "Nii-san, do you remember mum or dad?" I buried my face into his chest, he sighs, "I still remember their faces, they looked just like us." He smiles, we saw Yuu stir awake, I quickly step away from Guren and rub my eyes aggressively "How ya feeling? Yuu? You're finally awake." I ask, we walk over, he looks at my red eyes, "You bastard! What did you do to her!" He shouts, "I didn't do anything to Ki," He holds his hands up, "You don't get to call her that! Only family can!" Yuu shouts, I stifled a laugh, little did he know, Guren was closer to me than the Hyakuya orphanage was, "Heh, I beat the demon." Yuu looks at the sword in his hand, "Don't get cocky, took your sweet time." Kimizuki stands over him, "You got a cursed gear too?" Yuu asks, "Course I did." He scoffs, "And Yoichi?" Yuu asks, we all look at him, he was still unconscious the demon head suddenly cracked and we saw Yoichi stand up, he seemed to teleport away, "Oh man, this isn't good." Guren stands up, "Looks like Yoichi didn't have the strength to overcome possession." I bite my lip, "I guess having two of three students pass isn't a fail." Guren puts his hand on the hilt of his sword, "Oh where'd he go?" Yuu looks around, "Alright, now that both of you've got cursed gear it's time for your fist mission, there's a human eating demon somewhere in this room, "Yuu, Kimizuki it's up to you guys to deal with it show that bastard who's in control." Guren says, I had my back turned, I was looking around for Yoichi, "How cute, a girl. She'll be my apetiser," I turned around to the voice but my eyes widen, a hail of arrows were flying my way, "KI!" I heard Guren shout, I covered my head and I saw a storm of dust around us, "Keep your guard up idiot. Or I'll never let you out on the front lines again." He hits my head with the pommel of his sword, "Hey Guren! How are we meant to deal with this thing! Yoichi is still one of us!" Yuu shouts as he leaps around the room, arrows flying towards him, "Look at him! your classmate's body is just a vessel now, the only way to save Yoichi is to destroy him," Guren says, I slap his arm, "No way, there's no way I'll kill one of my friends." Yuu holds his sword, "Don't you get soft on me! This is the Moon Demon Company. Extermination is your job. Or are you just here to play with cursed gear? If you want to get killed that's on you but that monster is not your friend anymore." Guren snarls, "Damn it." Kimizuki unsheaths his dual blades, "If you're serious on using that gear then show me you've got what it takes to be a soldier." Guren furrows his brows, "Damn, Yoichi you're going down!" Yuu sheaths his sword and a gust of wind flew out, "Yuu." Kimizuki says, the two boys nod.

They both leap up, taking turns to take hits, Yuu slides the bow out of Yoichi's hand with his sword, "Yes!" He grins, "Careful Yuu! The demon isn't inside the weapon anymore! It's in Yoichi!" I shout but it was too late, Yoichi grabs his leg and slams him into the ground, Kimizuki jumps up, "Don't do it! He's one of us!" Yuu yells, Kimizuki's eyes widen and he stops right before Yoichi's throat, "Interesting, you won't touch me cause of the body I'm in." Yoichi smirks, "Yoichi! I know you're in there! Don't let this demon get the best of you! Snap out of it, we're meant to fight vampires together remember!" Yuu shouts, Yoichi opens his hand and the bow appears in it again, I scrunched my hands, "Guren, these boys will get themselves killed, they're not ready for this, please, don't make them kill Yoichi, he's their friend." I grab his arm and yank his sleeve, "Oh my bad, this demon was just about to kill the only family I have left. You almost died Ki, you think I'm happy with that?" He glares down at me, I purse my lips, he wasn't wrong, "Yoichi! Get your stuff together, you're strong enough to beat this thing." Yuu looks up at him, Yoichi makes a new arrow, "It's too late, now die." He smiles, "Then do it, I won't kill a comrade. And I know the real Yoichi won't either, so if he's in there he won't be able to shoot me." Yuu throws his sword away, "Are you crazy!" Kimizuki shouts, "Yuu!" I materialise my scythe and run over, "Snap out of it Yoichi!" I shout and hold my scythe in front of Yuu, "Yoichi! Are you going to stay under that bed and watch your sister get killed or are you going to get over it! This is your last chance to take control." Guren says firmly, Yoichi stopped, it was like his fingers couldn't let go of the arrow, the markings on his face disappeared and he let go of the arrow, it shot right above Yuu's shoulder, I let go of the breath I was holding, he throws the bow down and runs ove,r tackling Yuu in a hug, "No way..." Kimizuki stares at him, "Did he just beat it?" I stare at him, "That's enough, you did a good job." Yuu pats his head, "I shot at you." He sobs, Guren walks over, "Hm." Suddenly he kicks Yuu's chest, "YOU TOOK WAY TOO LONG TO GET BACK!" He shouts, "What the hell but why would you kick me for that? Guren." Yuu holds his chest, wheezing for air, "Yuu are you okay?" Yoichi freaks out, "Did you think it would turn out this way Guren?" I look up at him, he shakes his head, "I don't really give a damn if one of these bites it. As long as you're alive and well and those vampires don't get their hands on you. That's all I care about." He stares at the three boys, "Nii-san, you know you can't get anything by me." I smiled, he sighs, "Fine, maybe I do care a little, as long as they're not dead, the bare minimum." He walks off, I giggled, he put his foot on Yoichi's back, "You've got a gift, the guilt you felt for not being able to save your sister has kept you from living your life but I think today you overcame that, maybe now you can reach your full potential. You have a new reason to live, from now on your job is to protect the people who put their lives on the line to save you today, forget revenge, don't get hung up on something so pointless. Same goes for you idiot, forget about your previous friends and loved ones, the Moon Demon Company is the only family you'll have now." Guren says, I stiffened, "You're going to put us first even before your own life, got it? The past means nothing, it's the future that matters." Guren runs his fingers through his hair, "Alright, you've got your gear and you almost worked as a team today, I suppose we should put you out on the front lines and see what you're capable of." Guren starts walking, "Seriously?!" Yuu was excited, "That's right, we've got intel that suggests vampires in the Kansai region are planning on reclaiming Shinjuku. It's out job to investigate the area." Guren had his back turned to us, "We're finally going to fight some vampires." Yuu grins, "Don't you think we should have a bit more training first?" Yoichi was scared, "Really? We don't even get a break after this?" Kimizuki sighs, I laughed and jumped on Guren's back, "I think these lazy kids will be the death of me." He rubs the bridge of his nose.
