She hated to walk there, to knock that door, to see that face.
She had been expecting her since she had gotten married with Dylan Wang, but she never showed up.
After news broke of her divorce with Dylan Wang she had called her and surprisedly she had agreed to see her.
They never had a loving mother- daughter relationship.
Shen Yue was always quiet and tried to be patient with her.
It was as if Yue was avoiding her, or avoiding a topic.
She led her to the living room. Shen Yue felt like she was visiting a stranger.

She only gave a nod, "Is that all?"
Her mother smiled, "I just thought by now you would have understood what it was for me to be in a bad marriage."
