Time won't stop to cry with you. Hearts will break, tears will dry. Let time. There's no avoiding time, like there's no way to avoid pain. Let time. Let time happen.

Shen Yue was facing a contradicting gut twisting emotion. She had a whole inner monologue about staying neutral with Dylan.
Watching him was a whole different thing.
There he was, her headache. The guy responsible for her sleepless nights. The one she wanted to smack for having a dirty mind. The man who made her nervous, and annoyed all at once.
Dylan was passed out on the sofa.
She moved about the room. He had a knee brace on his right leg and an ice bag right under. The rest of his leg was bruised. Her heart ached for him.
There was a strong pain killer bottle next to him.
She read the prescription meds. As a psychologist she was able to prescribe medication and knew the dosages.
He had to be in a lot of pain to have opioids.
She was worried about him. Painkillers were commonly abused by athletes.
He shifted a little.
She jumped back when she heard his raspy voice.
"Stop staring at me."
The nerve! She thought.
"I thought you were asleep."
He smiled, his eyes closed . He appeared to be relaxed, probably the meds talking.
"I sensed you glaring at me with those huge brown eyes of yours." He joked.
She cleared her throat. "Do you need anything?"
He nodded, "water, please."
She fetched him a glass of water right away.
"Thank you," was all he said trying to figure out her mood.
She excused herself right away to go to her room.
When she returned he was sleeping again.
She waited until he woke up to offer him food.
He was not hungry.
"You have to eat at least something. You can't take those meds with an empty stomach."
"Okay, just a sandwich or whatever."
She made him exactly that, she was not known for her cooking skills.
