It had been five months, five months on which he had controlled his anger and bitterness of how everything ended.
Dylan was standing in front of her, and even sick she stirred emotions in him that he didn't like to feel.
Apparently she has been skipping meals, working long hours.
She was weak, Dylan saw her moving her head slightly. He was sure Shen Yue was delirious from that high fever.
"So much for being better..." he said annoyed with her irresponsibility towards her well-being.
The nurse came back.
"It has been a few hours and her fever has not subsided. We need to do some lab test and x-rays to see her lungs."
Shen Yue didn't quite grasp the words.
She was in a haze, Dylan's voice came and go.
"Is she going to be ok?" He asked.
The nurse reassure him it was going to be alright.
"Most probably a virus or infection."
Yue symptoms included chest pressure and shortness of breath.
Her x-rays came back showing inflamed lungs, she had a bad case of the flue. Thankfully it was not pneumonia.
She had contracted influenza and had left it untreated. She had arrived to the hospital with fever, muscle pain, cough and to top it off she was dehydrated.
The doctor quickly put her on an IV for fluid replacement and oxygen treatment. She received antiviral drugs to fight off any other virus.
She had been incoherent 24 hours in which Dylan Wang had kept a close eye on her.
"What do you mean, you're out of town?!"
Dylan raised his voice then he remembered Shen Yue was sleeping.
Jiaqi was very worried, "Wang please , we came to a convention for my company. I will be back in 2 days."
It was incredible everyone was out. He knew her mother wouldn't show up, that woman was icy cold.
The doctor was letting her go with a home treatment plan after she had gotten significantly better.
