Chapter 24: I'm All In

Jungkook

"So those dreams I've been having belong to Park Minji?" Jimin asks for clarification, blushing as he rests his head on my chest.

I comb my fingers through his hair from my spot on the bed and exhale. "Yes."

He looks at the door and bites his lip. "Why do you need to destroy the door? Isn't it what ties you back to your home in Korea?'

"It ties me to Korea, but that place isn't a home. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if my maid tried to poison me. She's kinda done with my bullshit."

Jimin scowls. "It's just that... I want to be with you. I love you, but I don't want to make you a new person in order to accomplish that."

I shake my head, pressing my lips to his forehead. "I'm only free and able to be myself when I'm with you. Here, I can be with who I want. And I have you."

"But you have so many years of memories there."

"That's all they are. That's the past. I want you to be my present and future," I explain. "I love you, Jimin. I want to stay here with you."

He blushes and raises his head from my chest to look into my eyes. "You love me?"

"I do." I cup his face. "And if you end up getting sucked through that door or die because of it, I would never be able to forgive myself. Even if that wasn't a problem, what if one day, I died in Korea and never came back here?"

Jimin's eyes widen and he hugs me tightly. "I don't like that. All of this talk of death is really scary. We've been together for what? A month? I haven't even experienced a lot of things with you."

I push his hair out of his face. "Then I'll destroy the door and you can have me right here, baby."

"Right here," he repeats, brown eyes holding galaxies. "Yeah, I'd like that, Jungkook."

"Me too." I smile. "I want to be with you forever."

Author's Note: AAAAAaaaaaa, I'm soft. The book is done! I think this constitutes as a short story in a way because of chapter length of most of the parts. This was definitely a wild ride and I hope people enjoyed it and that this being marked as complete will bring new people to this book, as it's very close to my heart. I was thinking about an epilogue, but I think I like this as the end. It leaves people to think about what could be in the future or to be happy that even though you may not know exactly what happens, Jikook is together and both of their "curses" have been lifted.
