Ch 15 The Siege of Duel Academy

Jaden and Jesse were on their way to DA and hoping that they were not too late. Meanwhile at DA Trueman had started to attack further then before and Trueman went after Alexis and her friends. Trueman beat Alexis and Atticus had screamed but then the memory of Alexis was wiped from his mind. Then Chazz was then next to fall, and Atticus couldn't remember Chazz as well. Then Trueman disappeared and Atticus walked around the school looking for life but found nothing. Then he pulled out the card that held Nightshoud's soul and the card turned into his mask.

Atticus put the mask on and saw Chazz dueling in the pros but failing to win a single match. The same was to be said for Syrus who had to carry on the Cyber style dueling as his brother was ill. Lastly, he saw Alexis not failing as a duelist but as a teacher and as a mother. Atticus took off the mask and was alarmed by this new knowledge. But he knew that he had to do something to or everyone on DA and the world would be in this living hell. He then walked out of the school and saw Truemans appearing.

Atticus turned to see a man with the mask he had worn, and he had a duel disk and both of them said "duel." Nightshroud said "my turn, I draw. I summon Clear Phantom in attack mode. (1200atk) I end my turn with a face down." Atticus said "my turn, I draw.  I summon Red-Eyes Wyvern to the field in attack mode. (1800atk) I attack your monster with my own." (Nightshoud's LP 3400) Nightshoud said "my monster's effect destroys your monster and sends the top three cards of your deck to the graveyard." So, Atticus was going to do just that.

Nightshoud said "I play my face down Memory Snatcher which means that you can no longer check to see what is in your graveyard." Atticus said, "I will end my turn with a face down." Nightshoud said "my turn, I draw. I summon Clear Rage Golem to the field in attack mode. (1600atk) Now I attack you directly." Atticus said, "I play my face down, Offensive Guard to halve your monsters attack and allows me to draw one card." (Atticus' LP 3200) Nighshoud said "Clear Rage Golem's effect allows me to inflict damage by 300 for each card in your hand." (Atticus' LP 1700)

Nightshoud ended his turn with a face down. Atticus said "my turn, I draw. I play Swing of Memories to summon a normal monster from my graveyard." But due to Memory Snatcher he couldn't check his graveyard. Then Jaden and Jesse appeared, and Atticus was happy to see them and got a surge of power and declared Red-Eyes Black Dragon to be in his graveyard. Then Red-Eyes appeared, and Jesse and Jaden cheered Atticus on. Atticus then attacked with Red-Eyes. (Nightshoud's LP 2600) Then Swing of Memories then destroys Red-Eyes but Atticus used Red-Eyes Wyvern's effect to summon Red-Eyes from the graveyard.

Then the mask of Nightshoud was breaking and he took off the mask to see that it was Fujiwara Yusuke. Jesse didn't know the guy and was not too keen to know how bad of a person he was. Jaden already knew who he was but didn't go into details. Yusuke said "my turn, I draw. I play the field spell Clear World. Now a negative effect will be in place for each attribute on the field for each person. But my monsters are unaffected by Clear World because they have no attribute."

Atticus didn't like this new field spell. Yusuke said "I play Clear Sacrifice by revealing Clear Vice Dragon and removing from play Clear Phantom and Clear Rage Golem from my graveyard to normal summon Clear Vice Dragon to the field in attack mode. (0atk) Now I attack your Red-Eyes. Due to my monster's effect Clear Vice Dragon gains double the attack of your monster." (4800atk) Atticus said, "I play my face down Burst Breath by Tributing my monster I can destroy your monster in return." Both monsters were now in the graveyard. Both Jaden and Jesse were happy to see this. Yusuke ended his turn.

Atticus said "my turn, I draw. I summon to the field Hunter Dragon to the field in attack mode." (1700atk) Yusuke said, "because your dragon is a dark attribute your monsters can't attack because of my field spell." Atticus said, "I will end my turn." Yusuke said "my turn, I draw. I play my face down Nihilistic Summoning Technique to special summon Clear Rage Golem from my removed from play cards to the field in attack mode and has 0 attack. I now equip Attribute Mastery to Clear Rage Golem and declare Dark for its effect. Now my monster can destroy any of your monsters before the damage calculation."

Atticus was in trouble now. Yusuke said "now I equip Attribute Bomb to Clear Rage Golem and declare Dark attribute. Now when my monster battles the declared attribute you will take 1000 points of damage. I now attack your monster." Hunter Dragon was destroyed. (Atticus' LP 700) Fujiwara said, "I end my turn." Atticus said "my turn, I draw. I play Dark Factory of Mass Production to add Hunter Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon to my hand. I will summon Red-Eyes Black Chick to the field in attack mode." (800atk)

Jaden and Jesse were holding their breath and hoping Atticus could win. Atticus said "I use Red-Eyes Black Chick to tribute himself to summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon to the field in attack mode. (2400atk) I now play Inferno Fire Blast to target Red-Eyes Black Dragon and inflict damage equal to the original attack of Red-Eyes Black Dragon. (Yusuke's LP 200) I will end my turn with a face down." Yusuke said "my turn, I draw. I attack your monster. Attribute Mastery activates destroying your monster and dealing you damage." Atticus said, "I play my face down Red-Eyes Burn to inflict the attack of Red-Eyes Black Dragon to both players." (Atticus' LP0 Yusuke's LP 0)

Then something happened and it turns out that this was all a plot for Yusuke to find Atticus' darkness. Now the duel was back when Clear Vice Dragon was on the field and was attacking Red-Eyes once again. Atticus said, "I play my face down Burst Breath." Yusuke said, "I use Clear Vice Dragon's effect by discarding one card I can negate that card." (Atticus' LP 0) Atticus was gone, and Jaden and Jesse were the last hope for the world but to Jaden it felt like Yusuke wasn't in full control of himself.
