Ch 17 Darkness Has Come

Darkness had taken both Yusuke and Jesse and Jaden was all that was left. Then Darkness said "well Jaden it is just you and me that is left. I have come for you, and I will make sure that you join your friends in my new world." Jaden looked at Darkness and knew that this will be his toughest duel yet. Jaden said, "so you are the one that has been terizing me these past few weeks." Darkness said, "yes but now I know who I'm up against and you will join your friend in my world of darkness."

Jaden said "I will not let you win Darkness. I still stand in your way, and I will beat you no matter what." Darkness laughed and said, "you should see your friends in the darkness." Darkness shot a beam of darkness at Jaden, and it hit in the head. Jaden then saw Chazz failing and falling into despair. Then he saw Syrus all alone without his brother and gave into despair. Then Jaden saw Alexis failing as a teacher and also fell into despair. Jaden had, had enough and broke off the power showing him the nightmare of his friends.

Darkness said "you see now that there will be no war. There will be no destruction of this world I have seen what the human race will do. Duel monsters were just the beginning and now that tool shall be used to beat not only you Jaden but the rest of the world." Jaden said "so you just want everyone to live the same nightmare all over and over again. I will not let that happen." Darkness said, "it would seem that we can't reach an agreement so we must settle it the old fashion way in a duel."

Jaden started his duel disk. Darkness grew five wings to show his own version of a duel disk. Both said "duel." Darkness said "my turn, I draw. I normal summon Darkness Eye to the field in attack mode. (0atk) I now play the field spell Darkness. I now can randomly set Zero, Infinity, Darkness 1, Darkness 2, and Darkness 3 from my hand or deck. Now every turn I can reset the cards face down at the end of each turn." Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman in attack mode. (1600atk) I now attack your monster."

Darkness said, "I play my face down Zero and I activate Infinity and I activate Darkness 1 now Darkness one destroys your monster." Jaden said "I play Relationship to special summon Elemental Hero Necroshade in defense mode because he had the same attack as Sparkman. (1800def) I will end my turn with a face down." Darkness' traps reset themselves. Darkness said "my turn, I draw. during the standby I use Darkness Eye's effect to normal summon Darkness Destroyer to the field in attack mode. (2300atk) I now play Zero and then Infinity. Then I play Darkness 2, Darkness 1, and Darkness 3."

Jaden didn't like where this was headed. Darkness said "Darkness two increases my monsters attack by 1000 for each Darkness activated at this time. (5300atk) Now Darkness Destroyer attack Jaden's monster." Jaden said "I play my face down, Hero Barrier to negate your attack." Darkness said "my monster can attack you twice this turn. (Jaden's LP 500) I will end my turn." Now Darkness' traps reset and rearrange themselves. Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I use Necroshade's effect to summon an Elemental Hero without a sacrifice. Come forth Elemental Hero Neos in attack mode." (2500atk) Jaden saw Darkness trying to use Darkness Eye and Yubel told him to destroy it. 

Jaden said "I play Effect Shut to negate your monster's effect and destroy the card. Now I attack with Neos." Darkness said, "I play my trap." Unfortunately, he used Darkness 1, but it had no effect unless Infinity was activated. (Darkness' LP 3800) I will end my turn with a face down." Darkness' traps set and are reset. Darkness said "my turn, I draw. I summon Darkness Outsider to the field in attack mode. (0atk) I activate my monster's effect to discard Darkness Seed to take a monster from your deck and summon it to my field. So I choose Yubel."

Jaden watched in horror as Yubel was taken from him. Darkness said "I activate the first effect of Darkness Seed which will summon a Darkness Seed from my graveyard during my second standby phase. Now I will end this, Yubel attack." Jaden said "I play my face down Astral Shift to change the attack to be a direct one. I also get to draw one card." Jaden caught Yubel's fist and said, "I'm getting you back." Yubel said "you'd better." Darkness said "I special summon Darkness Slime to the field in defense mode because all of my monsters attack equal zero. Darkness Slime gain defense to the defense of another monster. (2000def) I will tribute Darkness Outsider to keep Yubel on the field.

Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Super Polymerzation by discarding one card I can fusion summon using Elemental Hero Neos and Yubel. I summon Neos Wiseman to the field in attack mode. (3000atk) I now attack your Darkness Slime. Now Neos Wiseman's effect burns you for it defense and I gain LP for the destroyed monster's attack. (Jaden's LP 3000) (Darkness' LP 1800) I will end my turn."

Darkness said "my turn, I draw. I summon Darkness Necroslime in attack mode. (0atk) I use his effect to summon Darkness Eye from my graveyard in defense mode. (1000def) I now activate Zero, Infinity, Darkness 1, and Darkness 2. Now your monster will be destroyed." Darkness watched as his traps did it's work but Neos Wiseman was still on the field. Jaden said, "my monster can't be destroyed by card effects." Darkness said, "I end my turn." Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I attack your Darkness Eye. (Jaden's LP 4000) I end my turn."

Darkness said "my turn, I draw. Now Darkness Seed is summoned from my graveyard in attack mode. (1000atk) Now when he is summoned this way, I get my life points boosted back up to 4000 each turn. I will end my turn." (Darkness' LP 4000) Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I will attack your monster." (Darkness' LP 2000) then because of Neos' effect you lose LP to that of your monster's attack. (Darkness' LP 1000) (Jaden's LP 5000) Jaden smiled but Darkness Seed was still on the field. Jaden said, "I end my turn with a face down." (Darkness' LP 4000)

Darkness said "my turn, I draw. I tribute Darkness Seed to summon Darkness Bramble to the field in attack mode. (2000atk) Now I use his effect to be able to look at my set traps. I play Zero, Infinity, Darkness 3, Darkness 1, and Darkness 2. Now you take 3000 points of damage. (Jaden's LP 2000) I will end my turn." Jaden said, "my turn, I draw." Darkness said "I play Zero, Infinity, Darkness 3, and Darkness 1. Now you take 2000 points of damage." Jaden said "I play Quick Summon to normal summon Chrysalis Pantail from my hand in defense mode. I now play my face down Cocoon Veil to tribute Chrysalis Pantail to summon Neo-Spacian Dark Panther in defense mode. (500def) I also take no effect damage this turn."

Jaden felt like he was in the clear. Jaden said, "I attack your monster." Darkness said, "I activate Darkness Raincrow to send both him and Darkness Bramble to the graveyard to summon Darkness Neosphere to the field in attack mode." (4000atk) Jaden said "I use Dark Panther's effect to grant attack and defense of one monster on your field and he gains his effects for the turn. Now I use my monster's effect to set your Darkness field spell."

Darkness watched in horror as his field spell was no longer active. Jaden said "now if you want to activate your field spell you will destroy your own set spell and traps. I end my turn with a face down." Darkness said "my turn, I draw. I have my monster attack your Neos Wiseman." (Jaden's LP 1000) Yubel appeared and said "Jaden use Wisman's effect to remove me from play to summon Neos back from the graveyard. You are on your own now and I hope you win." Jaden had tears in his eyes and said "I use Wiseman's effect to banish Yubel to summon Neos back to the field in attack mode." (2500atk)

Darkness ended his turn. Jaden said "my turn I draw. Everyone in the darkness world hear me. You don't have to live like this you are better and stronger than darkness. All of you have one card you hold dear. Use it and let the light of that card give you the power to realize that darkness is not the only way. Show the world that you have power over darkness." With that Darkness began to lose strength and everyone was returning back to earth. 

Jaden said, "I play my face down Hope for the Future by discarding one card and sending Neo-Spacian's Flare Scarab, Aqua Dolphin, Air Hummingbird, Grand Mole, and Glow Moss from my deck to the graveyard I can ultimate contact fusion all Neo-Spacians and Neos to summon Elemental Hero Divine Neos to the field in attack mode. (3000atk) I now remove from play all Neo-Spacians so my monster gains 500 attack for each one. (6000atk) I now use Neos effect to gain the ability to gain Flare Scarab's effect to gain 400 attack for each spell and trap on my opponent's field." (8400atk)

Darkness was now in trouble. Jaden said, "now Divine Neos attack." (Darkness' LP 0) The hood of Darkness showed a dragon like skeleton, and everyone looked at him. Darkness said, "I may have been defeated this time, but I will return one day." Jaden said, "not as long as I am here no not only me, but everyone will make sure your turn never comes." Darkness then dissolved and was gone. Jaden smiled as everyone was happy that Jaden had saved the day once again.
