"Are you ok?" Nick asks holding my arm
"I want to say I am but can I tell you I'm still in shock?"
"This is all real Carolina, now don't worry about Joe he's not the douchebag everyone thinks he is"
I breathe out a bit, leave my hat off and Nick opens the door to this place. It was nice inside but casual at the same time; the hostess notices Nick and points him in the direction to where Joe is. I don't know how I ended up in front of him but as I saw Joe I stiffened up. Then I felt Nick's hands on my shoulders and he shook me playfully and behind me started to talk.
"Heyyy!"
Joe looks up; his hazel eyes were more magnificent in person. His smile was almost as enchanting as Nicks also and as he glances at him he moves over to me. He stands for a bit and exchanges a quick hug with Nick.
"I can see why you forgot about me" Joe says looking at me "I'm Joe" he extends his hand
I shake it and he opens a chair for me next to Nick.
"Thank you, I'm Carolina by the way"
"I've heard about you, Nick couldn't stop talking about meeting with you this morning" Joe says as he sits back down.
"Where's Rob?" Nick asks avoiding Joe's comment
"He already ate so he's securing the perimeter or something, anyways back to y'all"
I don't look at Nick; I knew he would be embarrassed.
"Crazy how you two ran into each other twice the other day" Joe continued as he looked at the menu
This time I do look up at Nick and when he meets my eyes I look down at the menu in front of me.
"She came out of nowhere and into my life" he simply said doing the same.
That sounded familiar and noticed the song; I decided to go with it.
"I guess its half timing, and the other half's luck"
Joe doesn't catch on and gives a weird stare as he catches us smiling at each other. We place our orders and I notice the table was set for four but ignore it. There wasn't much talking in my part I instead listened to Nick and Joe talk about the new album, they had been working on a comeback for a while and I loved listening to them talk about new music.
"What is said at this table can't be heard by anybody else!" Joe says pointing at me
My eyes widen but I then realize he's joking when he points at Nick also who throws his napkin at him.
"AYYYY" I hear Joe say looking behind me.
He starts to stand up but the voice behind me says:
"Sit down, you saw me this morning!"
Then the person sat across from me. It was Kevin. I use to have the biggest crush on him! I was surprised once again to notice he wasn't startled to see me there at all. Instead he also shook my hand like Joe did earlier, had Nick told everyone about running into me?
"Where's Danielle?" Nick asks
"Checking on Elvis I believe" he smiles and looks at me "I hope my brothers haven't been boring you"
"Not at all! I love hearing about music and the production of it" I say
"Well that's good luck, you've found yourself a keeper Nicholas" he elbows Nick.
A keeper. If only I could say Nick was mine, I would be leaving Sunday and this dream I was living would come to an end.
"What part of New York do you live in? You look like a SOHO kind of girl" Joe asks
