Just a heads up, if you're reading "Blame It On Me" this is more of a prequel to that story but if not feel free to start here :p

~~

The sun felt so nice today, after being in my hotel most of the morning it was a nice change to be outside for a long walk. Ever since I got to New York the days felt short but I had to make the most of my short visit here. Central park was a bit of a walk from where I was staying but might as well enjoy the different scenery, and since the park was so big I could get lost for days.

I reached a place close to the water and take out my camera to take a picture of the lake. My phone began to vibrate so I put away the camera but before I could reach into my bag to answer it I felt a huge impact and I hit the ground. Good thing I was close to some grass or else my landing would have been painful. I then realized there was a huge golden retriever on top of me licking my face. So I stood up a bit a petted him looking around for an owner and soon enough while I fiddled with his ears the dog sat and I heard someone from a distance say "Wow, I'm very sorry".

"No, it's fine" I answer not looking up continuing to pet the dog

"I saw you fall, are you ok?" the manly voice said extending a hand

I almost forgot I was on the ground and took the guys hand. When I got up I met the voices face I looked down right away, could it be? He was dressed in green shorts, jersey, baseball cap; a uniform.

"I'm sure" I manage to reply

I drop my hand from his while he kneels next to his dog making the leash hold tight to its collar.

"I thought I almost lost you boy" he kisses the dog "I don't know what I'd do without you Elvis"

Elvis. It had to be him.

He looks up me smiling and says "thank you so much, in a way your fall helped me catch him"

"I guess I'll try not to pay attention more often" I laugh

He stands up inches from me not knowing what to say so I decide to begin walking backwards.

"Be more careful next time, he's a beautiful dog" and wave, turning my back to him.

A few steps away I heard him say "thanks again!" and turn to see him walking the opposite direction looking back at me, making eye contact briefly. I was in awe.

I had just run into Nick Jonas.
