I hear a gasp in sync from all my friends and can’t break my eye contact with Nick. He just smiles and massages my hands, running his finger up my right arm.
“Nick as much as I’d love too I ca-“
“Yes” I hear my friends say
I look over to them still holding Nicks hands in mine but moving a little closer to them.
“Guys there’s no way I could even, and our parents wouldn’t even…”
“Know, I’ll just tell them we’re having a sleep over at Valerie’s or something.” My sister says leaving me shocked “now go on you too, I’ll go work on your alibi”
She scurries my friends away and they just wave goodbye to us, so much for spending time together. Why would Nick make me such an invitation? I mean we have technically known each other for a month now and our connection was the strongest thing I’ve ever felt with someone, so why was I was nervous to be alone with him?
“Don’t freak out ok”
“I’m not even…”
“Your face says otherwise” he says kissing me “like I said earlier, I’m not forcing you to do anything babe. I just want to spend all my time with you for those weeks we were apart”
“What about my clothes, I don’t have anything to wear to sleep and the dress I’m wearing tomorrow is at my house, there’s just-“
“Babe stop! Calm down, no worries, you could use some of my clothes as pajamas and as for tomorrow well let’s buy you something and I’ll take you to your house so you have time to get ready”
“Everything has a solution real quick for you doesn’t it?” I say smiling
“I get what I want” he says kissing me
Then he reaches for his wallet and opens it looking for something.
“How much are you going to need? Hmm clothes maybe underwear…” he murmurs
He hands me a $50 then changes it for $100.
“Nope, this is fine.” I say taking the $50 “you go back to the hotel and I’ll shop real quickly, and meet you back there”
“You sure? And no more money?” he says putting his wallet away
“I’m fine, and I’ll pay you back for this” I say waving the dollar
“Nah, you keep that and I’ll see you in a bit”
He kisses my forehead and walks away before I could refuse. I decide to waste no time and find the nearest store, which I bought a simple shirt and shorts at. Then ran to Victoria’s Secret to buy one underwear, somehow I managed to still have $3 left and decided to walk back to the hotel which really wasn’t too far on foot but still left me tired by the time I reached the lobby. When I finally knocked on the door Nick was there to open it right away in a simple V-neck and basketball shorts. My favorite.
“You were gone forever” he said as I walked in collapsing on the couch
“I walked over here” I said removing my sandals “so no more movement for me”
“Great, it’ll be me, you and this couch the rest of the evening then” he said slumping next to me.
“You look so comfy” I say closing my eyes
Nick grabs my hand and pulls me up.
“I picked out some clothes you could maybe put on so you can get comfortable”
