“What… I thought we were going to meet them in Dallas tomorrow…”
“I have no idea why they are here”
I open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out
“Don’t worry, just like I talked to your family you can talk to mine” he smiled
“They already tried splitting us up once-“
“I know” he pulled me close to him so we were forehead to forehead “and I promise you I won’t let them do that again”
My heart began to race way too fast and I couldn’t help feeling super nervous. Why were they here? Did they find out about Nicks offer to me? That had to be it. And before I knew it we reached our floor, but we stalled in front of the door looking at each other and Nick simply raised our holding hands together and kissed my knuckles. I breathed out as he slid the room key in and we walked inside to a very casual looking scene of the whole Jonas clan in the kitchen. Even Danielle and Frankie were here, oh no.
“What are you all doing here?” I hear Nick say before anything
I look at him alarmed at his tone and see his parents look over to him not amused.
“Oh you know just thought we’d visit you here since you didn’t even tell us you came back and couldn’t even visit us back home like Joseph did” I heard his mom say sipping on some wine.
Joe looks down biting on a carrot.
“Oh well Joe could of told me he was going to visit you instead of lying and saying he was going to LA”
“We are a family who tells each other everything and just like we talked about you moving too fast with Carolina I’d like to talk to you about your idea about moving in together but with every one this time” Mr. Jonas says looking straight at us
Nick walks forward towards them pulling me along with him.
“Idea?” he laughs “it’s already set; we have most of her stuff packed already”
Everyone turns to look at me surprised.
“So you agreed?” Kevin asked
I nodded. I still couldn’t find my voice.
“Where did this even come from Nicholas? It’s been only one, two months and you feel ready to take this giant step you’re only nineteen” his mom paused “Kevin courted for a long time and like it should be waited for the right moment to ask for Danis hand.”
“You’re skipping a lot of steps” Dani said
“And what makes you guys think this isn’t going to work?” Nick fumes
Nobody said anything.
“How could you do this to us?” I hear his mom say and I look up to see her looking at me “you’re still kids who have forever to get to know each other without this”
Her words hit me like another bus; she didn’t nor ever would like me.
“Whoa don’t talk to her like that!” Nick yelled at her
“I love your son, I don’t want to be-“ I began
“If you loved him you wouldn’t risk his career and reputation with this” Denise kept saying
“Mom stop! You don’t get it, you don’t get us!” he letting go of my hand and using his arms to express himself.
I then began to cry, turning my back to them and they’re harsh words. Nick quickly pulled me into his arms forcing me to look at him which I did opening my eyes; he quickly whipped my tears away.
