Aether's POV

'Do I like Xiao?'

—

I couldn't really think properly after that. I had to leave work early saying I felt sick.

'I couldn't think properly at all.'

I look at the time (2:30am).

'Geez I'm hungry..'

I got up out of my bed and walked to the kitchen, I opened the fridge, it was empty.

'Now I have to go to the grocery store..' I sighed.

'I really don't want to go to the grocery store right now it's really late, but I'm really hungry.'

I went back into my room and changed my clothes, i wore a beanie and a big jacket. I grabbed my keys  and wallet.

I walked out of my apartment locking the door and walked down the stairs to my bike which was locked up.

I entered the grocery store and it was half empty. I grabbed a basket and walked around the store.

'Geez I'm tired.' I yawned.

I put some vegetables and put them in the basket still feeling drossy.

Once I finished grabbing everything my basket had been filled up all the way. I placed my basket on the conveyor belt.

"You're up early." The cashier said.

'I never went to sleep'

"Yup, just getting groceries.." I patted the back of my head.

"Great you're total will be," the cashier tapped on the register.

"1392 mora."

I pulled out my wallet, it was empty.

'I forgot to put the mora into my wallet since I got my paycheck.'

"Um.." I embarrassed to say I didn't have any mora.

"Here." A lady put the mora on the counter.

I looked at the lady in shock. She gave me a smile.

"You really don't have too!" I said in embarrassment.

"It's ok!" She patted the back of my back with a smile.

The lady was about to walk out the door.

"Wait!" I grabbed my bagged groceries to catch up to her.

"Yes?" She stopped.

"Can I have you're number? I would like to pay you back!" I said.

"It's really alright! You don't have too!" She replied back.

"I feel really bad though." I said.

"It's really alright!" She gave me a thumbs up.

"Could I at least get you're name?" I asked.

"Nope." She giggled and walked away leaving me in shock.

I got back home, I looked at the time, 4:34 am.

'Geez I'm tired' I yawned.

I put my groceries in the fridge and grabbed a bag of chips. I went to my room and sat in my bed, opening the bag of chips and eating it. I sat on my bed looking at my phone for a while.

I woke up from the sound of my alarm clock. I had been laying next to the chip bag hadn't even change my clothes. I had fallen asleep last night.

I quickly got up and brushed of some chips that had been on me, I grabbed the chip bag and threw it away.

I went to my bathroom and got changed. I looked into the mirror, I had bags under my eyes.

I walked out into the kitchen, opening a cabinet and grabbing out a piece of bread, and put the bread into the toaster.

I poured myself a glass of milk and put the toasted bread onto my plate spreading a piece of butter onto it. I grabbed my plate and cup and sat down onto the table.

I stared out the window. My phone received a notification, I grabbed my phone out and looked at it, it had been from Xiao.

Xiao: What are you doing after school today?

Aether: Homework why?

Xiao: No work today?

Aether: Nope, not on Fridays.

Xiao: Want to hang out today?

Aether: ??

Xiao: With me and Venti.

Aether: With Venti.. sure.

Xiao: Great, see you at school.

—

I closed my phone.

'Great now I'm thinking about Xiao and that Venti guy.' I frowned.

I kept thinking about Xiao.

'What is Venti to Xiao?' I wondered

'What is Xiao to me..'
