3rd person's POV
Izuku came running into the hospital, bumping into random people and yelling an apology.
His entire flight was a nightmare to him, he wasn't crying, unlike when he heard the news, he was just having an uneasy feeling in his heart.
He quickly asks for the room number, running up the stairs, not waiting for the elevator.
He could see his father's hospital room swarmed with media reporters and cameramen. He tries to squeeze in, but the crowd was too strong.
"Move away! Please! That's my father in there.." Izuku yells pitifully. Everyone else moves away, giving way for him.
He could feel his eyes tear up again, seeing the white door. He slowly walks in, seeing his mother come out with red eyes.
"Hey.. go in. It's alright." She tries to console him, not noticing the tears running down her face.
"Yeah mom, please don't cry.."
He goes in, the chatter outside the room fading away as silence filled his ears. His father.. even though he hated him.. was a good man. At least to others.
He could see the nurses and doctors leave the room in his peripheral vision, all of them giving him a sympathetic nod or a pat.
He hoped it was all a dream. Probably even a prank but.. he had to suck it up.
"Hi Kacchan.. how have you been?" Izuku asks, as soon as Katsuki picks up the call. It was pretty late in the night, but Izuku couldn't sleep.
He had a lot of work that day, paying bills, announcing to the public and hearing grievances from his relatives.
Katsuki was sweet just like any other time. He starts whispering how everything will be alright and how he wishes he was there with Izuku.
"Don't worry, okay? Take your time and I'll be with you at every step. Just like any other time." He whispers, it must've been early in the morning for him, he was sweet to not have snapped at Izuku.
"I got to go, I'm getting late for school, remember to eat and drink loads of water, okay? Good night." Katsuki says, cutting the call immediately.
His mom then comes inside his room, patting his hair softly, and asking him to go back to sleep.
Izuku didn't really know his dad, but Inko did. She also knew how Izuku felt about everything. He didn't know what to feel, to start with.
Was he supposed to feel sad? Or happy? Or probably even angry? He just felt too many emotions at the same time to make sense of all of them.
Katsuki and his family reached America later that day, they were also attending the funeral. Katsuki was desperate to see Izuku, he had been talking about meeting the latter the whole time.
After all, they loved each other. They were inseparable like always.
Upon reaching, Katsuki immediately starts off to find Izuku, finding it standing ajar. The silence inside was haunting Katsuki. Izuku's room was never silent, some music or rustling could always be heard. This was weird to him.
Katsuki knew he couldn't just barge in, he knew the best about Izuku, even though he looks like a literal Sun, he is just as hurt as anybody would be in a situation like this.
Katsuki braces himself for the impact. Izuku hardly gets upset and this was the worst time! He didn't even know what he was upset about. He just felt like everything was too much and seeing his mother cry wasn't helping his mood.
"Deku?"
Silence. Katsuki saw a figure sitting on the edge of the bed, knees pulled close to their chest, head resting on their knees, they also seemed to be weeping seeing that they were shaking and letting out choked sobs.
"Oh Deku.."
Katsuki crawled into the bed, right in front of Izuku's vulnerable figure. Katsuki expected this, but he honestly didn't want this to be the case.
Izuku slowly lifted his head to be met with a worried pair of crimson eyes. He lost it. Izuku practically threw himself into Katsuki's arms.
He was sobbing into his chest, uncontrollably. He couldn't breathe at one point. This wasn't the first time getting a panic attack and Katsuki knew how to handle it, he learned it the hard way.
"Izuku come on, focus on my breathing. Breathe in ... And out. Repeat it come on, you can do this. Breathe evenly, babe." Katsuki starts, already feeling giddy when Izuku's breathing slowly gets better and normal.
He didn't know how much it would help but it did to a great extent. "There, baby, you are doing great. Come on, once again for me, please? Breath in baby... And out. You did great, I love you."
"Thank you Kacchan, if it wasn't for you I have no idea what I would've done. When did you arrive?" Getting praises from Katsuki was something Izuku always loved.
They continued catching up with each other about what happened after Izuku left and the class' reaction. Izuku was still cradled by Katsuki. They missed each other too much to let go.
Katsuki was telling him about the class' shock when they found out and about Todoroki's small victory dance when he found out his theory was right.
Todoroki had this weird (but completely true) theory on how Izuku could be a billionaire because he could 'feel the rich behavior in his veins.'
All that Katsuki could say was to get a good doctor and check this funny feeling in his veins.
Izuku wasn't a billionaire, but he was considerably rich, Katsuki started laughing half way through when he was explaining.
But Izuku was lost in his world.
He had a company to run now? He had no clue how to do that! Izuku couldn't help but let his mind wander to the worst places. What if Izuku doesn't get to meet Katsuki more often? Would there relationship still stay healthy?
Would there even be a relationship if they didn't get to meet each other?
