3rd person's POV
Days passed and finally, after what seemed to be months came a Sunday. Both Izuku and Katsuki had been working hard the past weeks, especially because Katsuki couldn't settle in easily.
"Don't blame me, okay? Just- everyone was so lazy! Like, get your ass up and moving ma'am, I'm your boss, not a Starbucks waiter." Katsuki grumbles, pulling Izuku out of his house.
Katsuki was dressed in some casual clothing, whereas Izuku hadn't even taken a bath since the morning.
"Kacchan... I need to take a bath. At least lemme just change my clothes!" Izuku whines, pulling Katsuki back inside.
Katsuki doesn't budge though, he still pulls Izuku with him, grumbling about something at work as he straps himself in the car.
"What?" Katsuki questions when he notices Izuku's lingering stare on him, they had already been a couple minutes into the drive then.
"Baby, I didn't bath yet." Izuku explains with a sigh, turning around.
"Eww it's 10 in the morning and you didn't bath yet?" Katsuki grimaces, contemplating whether he should turn around.
"I've been telling you this the past 10 minutes, but you didn't listen!" Izuku complains huffing angrily.
Katsuki slows down for a second, reaching just in time for the red light to turn on. He looks at Izuku, who was still looking away, and leans in.
"Did you at least brush your teeth?" Katsuki asks, laughing when Izuku pouts but still nods his head.
Katsuki then leans in, pulling Izuku towards his and kisses him. Izuku acts like he doesn't like it, but soon kisses back with a giggle.
Just then Izuku notices the road was different and was going away from the city.
He starts pestering Katsuki about where they were going. "You'll see Deku. It's not that special." He laughs, shoving Izuku's hands which traitorously tried to tickle him.
"A beach? You woke me up really early in the morning to take me to the beach? What is wrong with you Kacchan?" Izuku cries out, hitting Katsuki playfully.
"Hey- wait- I just wanted to relax for a while, okay?" Katsuki reasons, laughing when Izuku fumes even more.
"We could've still done that at home! Waking up late and watching Netflix or something! You didn't have to drive me all the way here early in the morning!" Izuku whines, but still pulls Katsuki with him towards the water.
"Baby, it's 11:30 in the morning." Katsuki chuckles, letting himself get pulled away.
They both sit down, a little away from the waves. The weather was very pleasant that day, soft breeze tousling their hair.
Izuku easily relaxes himself on the beach, letting his muscles loose as he pecks Katsuki's cheeks every now and then, just to see the fake annoyed expression.
They lounge for a while, happy that it wasn't too sunny or rainy that day.
"Remember the first time we came to a beach? When we were on our summer break?" Izuku whispers, softly lying back down on the blanket they brought.
"Mhm, yeah. You even tried pulling a scrap refrigerator." Katsuki recollects, Izuku stands up in an instant, feeling offended.
"Excuse you, I moved it a few centimetres." He argues, huffing playfully.
"Well, keep dreaming babe."
Izuku giggles loudly, walking to the water, letting the waves softly wet his feet.
"I was the one who asked you on a date here, right? It was our first date." Katsuki asks, standing next to Izuku and playfully bumping with him.
"And I first told our parents about our relationship right after the date." Izuku says back, still with a happy smile.
Katsuki didn't know this was a competition. Well, he'll win anyways.
"I was the first to have a crush. Since 3rd grade." Katsuki retorts with his eyebrows high, looking smug.
"I was the one who said 'I love you' first though." Izuku answers back, smiling when Katsuki visibly deflates.
Izuku turns away with the biggest smile on his face, enjoying the sand by wiggling his toes on the sand.
"Well, I was the first one to ask you to marry me."
Izuku turns around confused. His eyes widen as his hands clasp around his mouth in awe.
Katsuki was on his one knee, blushing so hard you can hardly see his complexion anymore, holding out a beautiful ring with emerald stones.
"Kacchan I-" Izuku starts, already tearing up.
"Will you marry me, Izuku?"
"Yes, I- it would be a dream to get married to you and- Kacchan..." Izuku whispers as he pulls Katsuki by his collar, kissing him as hard as he could, hoping it conveys all his feelings.
"Here, lemme just-" Katsuki slips the ring into his finger. It perfectly fits and looks so extravagant, but Izuku loves it the most.
"Kacchan, did you plan all this?" Izuku questions a few minutes later, holding Katsuki close and sneaking kisses here and there.
"I did like- probably 3 months ago? I bought the ring then but I didn't know when to ask, you know."
Izuku chuckles softly, kissing Katsuki again. Izuku had always wanted to marry Katsuki, don't day or the other. The labels wouldn't change anything between them.
But it sounded special and wholesome to be married to someone.
Their entire drive back home, Izuku was on a call with Inko and Mitsuki, sharing the news as soon as he could. Izuku felt so excited about it that Katsuki felt it really was the right time to ask him.
"You know, I would've just appreciated if you let me take a bath today morning, like, it would've taken 10 minutes! And you were in such a hurry!" Izuku laughs, he didn't sound angry even if he wanted to.
Well anyways, all that mattered now was the preparations. Mitsuki promised to get everything done with Inko because the boys would be busy with work.
Izuku was more than grateful to get that job out of their 'list of burdens'. It felt refreshing to let another person plan the wedding.
But even then, Izuku and Katsuki interfered in most of the work, expecting so much perfection that at one point Mitsuki just gave up and let them do everything.
