"Why does she smile like that?" Izuku questions, picking his nails with a pout.
"Why does she smile? Who? Oh, Uraraka? Cause I helped her. That's a stupid question Deku." Katsuki mumbles, continuing with his work. He was doing his homework while Izuku kept distracting.
"You don't have any problems with her flirtatiously smiling at you like that?" Izuku questions, pulling Katsuki to look at him. Izuku had his wide puppy eyes directed at Katsuki, they were so adorable that Katsuki couldn't help but lean in to give him a peck.
"Flirting with me? She isn't flirting! She was thankful. There's a difference, Deku. Besides, even if she was flirting, it wouldn't matter because I already like you." Katsuki says, with a wink making Izuku smile.
"If you say so Kacchan," Izuku mumbles looking away.
"Don't worry about others, okay? You know that I like you, I know that you like me, we shouldn't worry about extras like our classmates, yeah?" Katsuki replies, kissing Izuku's cheeks.
Izuku doesn't agree but simply blushes with a shy smile.
Soon, the evening rolls in. "Deku what is on your mind? You seem to be deeply thinking about something."
"I have this gut feeling that something bad is going to happen" Izuku mumbles while squinting his eyes.
"Everything is fine, stop worrying," Katsuki said, tugging him outside towards the hallways.
"Yeah, hopefully," But no matter what, Izuku couldn't ignore the feeling that something was about to happen. It felt uneasy and disturbing. He simply labels it as indigestion and leaves it at that.
Upon reaching the main hall, Izuku plops on the couch, letting Katsuki go to get him something to eat.
However, when Katsuki came out of the kitchen, he bumped into Uraraka by accident. It was purely unintentional on both sides, but Izuku felt a little jealous, seeing Katsuki help Uraraka who had fallen in the collision.
Katsuki's hand on her waist.
"I'm really sorry Bakugo. I didn't see you there." Uraraka apologises, looking guilty as ever, with a slight tint of red on her cheeks. She was blushing, Izuku noticed.
Katsuki nods in acknowledgement and walks away, not giving it much thought. Uraraka does the same, she walks into the kitchen to talk with Tsuyu and Mina.
"Kacchan. Why would you do that?" Izuku immediately asks, after walking into his dorm room.
"What? What did I do?" Katsuki chuckles in confusion, not tearing his gaze away from the work in hand.
"You held her waist, and like picked her up like some stupid rom-com." Izuku presses the topic, sitting down on the bed with a disturbed expression.
"Uraraka? She fell Deku, I can't just leave her there." Katsuki asks, frowning. He turns around to face Izuku with a confused expression.
"She likes you Kacchan, holding her like that was completely unnecessary." Izuku softly questions, gritting his teeth in anger, not towards Katsuki, of course, towards Uraraka.
"Okay, what do you expect me to do? Threaten her to not like me? Make some sense Deku." Katsuki retorts, clicking his tongue in annoyance. Katsuki folds his arms irritatedly.
"Do you think it's okay for me to see my another girl flirting with my boyfriend?" Izuku raises his voice slightly, almost unnoticeable.
"I can't do anything if she flirts with me. She clearly knows I'm not into her. At least I'm not flirting with her." Katsuki snaps, slamming his book down a little too loudly.
Katsuki then sighs, trying to calm down. Izuku huffs angrily, harshly pushing away Katsuki's hand which reached out to hold him. Katsuki takes a sharp breath at that.
"Think about what you just said, Deku. Meet me once you aren't angry and then we can talk." Katsuki says, before leaving his room.
Izuku stays in his room, thinking about their relationship. They haven't met in 4 years now, what if Katsuki likes someone else? He wouldn't know. He doesn't even know this Katsuki. It was new and different. He didn't like it.
Izuku leaves his room, in a much calmer yet disturbed expression. He sees Katsuki sitting on the couch and sits next to him. Katsuki instinctively puts a hand around his shoulder.
"How are you feeling now? Are you still angry?" Katsuki whisperss, as soon as Izuku sits down.
"No... I shouldn't have asked that, sorry Kacchan." Izuku sighs, melting into Katsuki's arms, who gives a small forehead peck, assuring him it's okay.
Soon the day comes to an end and Aizawa announces a new project, which is to be done in pairs that day. It needed to be submitted in a couple of days, making all of them groan.
The pairs were chosen in chits, much to Izuku's dismay. He may not be able to pair up with Katsuki now. "Bakugo Katsuki and Uraraka Ochako." Katsuki doesn't mind, he hardly even looks at Aizawa while Uraraka nods with a blush.
Izuku fumes seeing her. That was the last straw.
"Kacchan, do you want to ask Aizawa Sensei if we could change partners?" Izuku questions once they're out of the class.
"What? Why? Who did you get?" Katsuki questions, hardly even looking up from his homework. Izuku nervously bites the edge of his pen.
"I got Sato. But that doesn't matter. You got Uraraka. If we switch we could be in the same group."
"I don't think that'll be necessary. It's just an activity and we need to submit it in like two days. Besides, if we were teamed up, we'd just end up kissing the whole time." Katsuki chuckles, scribbling something in his notebook.
"Well, what's wrong with that?" Izuku sharply questions, slightly raising his voice, making Katsuki flinch.
"What's wrong with that? Nothing is. But we need to do the project, Deku. We can't just skip it." Katsuki explains, leaving his desk to move towards Izuku.
Katsuki tries to reach out, only for Izuku to swat his hand away. "Don't touch me." He grits out, looking away with his jaw clenched.
"What the fuck is wrong with you? You've been acting so weird the past few days." Katsuki frowns, forcing Izuku to look at him.
"Are you thinking I'm cheating on you with Uraraka, Deku?" Katsuki questions, looking at Izuku with an unbelievable expression.
"I don't know." Kastuki freezes immediately so Izuku stutters an excuse, "Wait I- I didn't mean it like that. It's just - it's hard to explain Kacchan."
Katsuki slams his hand on the bedside table, walking up to Izuku and pulling him by his collar. "You stupid dumbass. Why would I cheat on you with her? Is that how low you think of me?"
Katsuki lets go of Izuku, making him stumble a little. Izuku looks away in anger, before dusting himself in an attempt to look decent.
Just then, they hear a knock from the floor. Katsuki goes up without a word and opens it, revealing Uraraka.
"Oh hey, Bakugo. I didn't think you would be here-" Uraraka starts, looking surprised.
"Where else did you think I would be?" Katsuki immediately cuts her off.
"Oh, I thought you would be at Midoriya's dorm since you guys usually hang out there.." Uraraka explains, fiddling with the books in her hand.
Katsuki looks back at Izuku as if he is proving him something.
"Anyway, I came here to ask when we could start the project?" Uraraka asks so sweetly that Izuku has to stop himself from physically gagging.
"Now. Come in."
