Aftermath

Mitch POV

I got to the hospital as quickly as possible. Kirstie called and told me something happened to Scott. I ran up to the front desk. "I'm here for Scott Hoying."

"He's right down this wing. Room 247."

I ran over to the room, and found out I was the last person to get there. The rest of Pentatonix were gathered around Scott. He had bruises down the side of his arm and his leg was ascended into the air. Luckily, he was awake and breathing clearly.

"Scott! Are you okay?" I hugged him.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He said really quietly.

"I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. I was hit by a drunk guy." He said, obviously in pain.

"Did he survive?"

"I don't know. What are we going to do about the band?"

"Oh yeah, we have tour next week..." Kirstie said.

"Someone call our manager, maybe she'll postpone it."  Avi said.

Just as Kevin picked up his phone, a nurse entered the room.

"Hey Scott, how do you feel?" She asked.

"Alright."

"It seems you were the luckier one of the accident. The other driver walked away virtually unharmed but he had a girl with him. We can't get her to wake up..."

"That's horrible."

"Yeah... she's only twenty-one years old."

"Oh my."

"Maybe she'll pull through, you never know. Anyways, here's your meds, you have surgery in an hour."

"Okay thanks." Scott took the meds and the nurse left the room.

"I'm going to call Miranda." I said.

"Did you guys make up?" Scott asked.

"I'm not sure, but I think she can stand me now." I called her but she didn't pick up. Sighing, I sat back down.

"She won't answer."

"That's weird, she normally answers." Scott said.

"Do you call her a lot or something?"

"Sometimes. She's really nice."

*one hour later*

Scott was in surgery so I walked around the hospital. I was going down the opposite wing when all hell broke loose.

"QUICK DOCTOR ROOM 285. TWENTY- ONE YEAR OLD FEMALE. SHE'S GOING INTO SHOCK." Thinking that was the car crash victim, I walked past the door. A nurse pulled me aside, "Look you can't be here sir..." "Will you at least tell me her name?"

She pulled out her clipboard, "Ummm her name is Miranda uh.. Grassi... she is a car crash victim." "Ohmygod." I swear I nearly collapsed on the floor "Sir, please calm down." "Is she going to be okay?" I panicked.

"Sir, you need to leave." She grabbed my arm and pulled me back into the waiting room. I ran to Scott's room, which held Avi, Kirstie, and Kevin.

"Miranda... was in... the... same.... accident."

"Oh my god." Kirstie said.

"Nooooo...." Avi added.

Kirstie hugged me, "don't worry Mitch, she'll be okay!"
