Miranda POV

In this circumstance I only have two options, let Scott take what he wants or fight for basically, my life. But if Scott adores me as much as he says I might be able to use that to my advantage and get away.

Completely cornered against the damp wall, Scott lifted my chin and closed the space between us. I tightened my lips against his and prepared myself. This is it. Show time Miranda.

Still pressed against Scott, I started crying. Not like the typical few tears and done, I purposefully cried my eyes out. This not only forced Scott to pull away but his face softened too. But it didn't last long. He wiped my face with his palms and kissed me again. Using my hips to pull me closer and closer- like that was even possible. My plan failed.

I bit his lip and he screamed, and pushed away from the wall. He held me there in place. "You should not have done that Miranda." He glared, "I'll make you regret it."

"Funny how much you hated Steven but yet you're becoming a monster. Just. Like. Him." I emphasized my words as I tried to hide my fear from the blonde. I might have pushed too hard...

"I am nothing like Steven." He frowned.
"That's right, you are much worse." I looked directly into his stupid eyes.
"You can't stand to be turned down. That's why you are going after me. What are you planning to do Scott? Rape me and then pretend it didn't happen. Because we all know everyone will find out. Did you even think about your reputation? What would the others think? They would find out that-" He cut me off by slapping me intensely hard across the face. So hard I started to fall to the ground, but Scott caught me. He pulled me towards him with the collar of my shirt.

"Don't fucking mess with me, bitch." Scott said directly in my face. Practically spitting on me.

He let go of my collar and I fell to the ground. Clutching my cheek I sat up and tried to make a run for it. Scott caught me, "You will not tell anyone about this or I will kill you."

"Go ahead. I have nothing to live for." I smiled.

"Killing will not be necessary." Kevin burst through the door and Scott's eyes went wide. He froze in his place and Kevin walked up to him. "Scott. Leave right now. Before I call the cops. I'll deal with you later." Scott walked away with his head hung low. Kevin pulled me into his arms.

"Are you okay Miranda?" Kevin touched my cheek lightly and I flinched, "you're bleeding."
"I never been slapped so hard in my life. But I'm okay."
"I can't believe Scott would ever..."
"Me either. Something must've happened."
"That's what I'm thinking. Tell me exactly what happened."

"When I came in Scott was sitting in a chair facing away from me and I thought Steven had him. But it turns out Scott just wanted to lure me into his trap so he could rape me."
"Did he-" Kevin's eyes grew wide.
"No. I think he was about to. You saved me Kevin. I don't think I'll ever be able to thank you enough."
"It was no problem, you're basically a part of the Pentatonix family." I hugged him from the side.
"Can I stay at your apartment tonight? I don't want to see Scott."
"Sure Mir, you'll have to put up with Avi though."
"I think I'll live."

Kevin sped away from the creepy building. We arrived at his shared apartment in no time. It wasn't very big but it was calm and cozy.

"Hey Kevin, he Mir- oh my god what happened to you?" Avi stared at my terribly bruised cheek.
"Scott." I looked down,I was embarrassed how noticeable the mark is. What if it scars?

I glanced up to find Kevin whispering into Avi's ear. I watched as Avi's eyes flashed with anger and then an overwhelming amount of sympathy. He came over and just pulled me into his arms. He must have held me there for a good two minutes because I stared crying into his shoulder. He rubbed my back, "Don't worry, we won't let him get to you." Eventually I gathered myself and we decided to watch comedies on the couch until we fell asleep.

Being snuggled between Kevin and Avi was everything I could have asked for. For once I felt safe and secure. Something I haven't felt in a very long time.
--------
When I woke up Kevin was gone but Avi was leaning on my shoulder. He looked so peaceful that I didn't want to move. I ended up moving because of the wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen.

"Awh Kevin! You didn't have to make breakfast!" I smiled.
"Least I could do! It was a pretty rough night."
"I agree. I'm so glad we finally get to hang out. I don't really know you and Avi too well."
"Well you can stay here as long as you like." Avi entered the room, he probably woke up when I moved. "Yes Kevin! I love you!" He grabbed some food and quickly sat down. I followed suit.

"What are you guys doing today?" I asked the two men.
"I'm going to Mitch's to see if I can knock some sense into blondie. He's not going to be happy when I'm done with him." Kevin said.
"Kevin... you don't have to to do that."
"No. What he did was wrong and he needs to realize it." Kevin grumbled.
"Well, I'm just staying home today if you'd like to join, Miranda" Avi suggested.
"Sounds great."

After breakfast Kevin left and I sat on the couch with beard-boy.
"So what was it like being in jail?" He asked.
"Nothing like you'd think."
"The living conditions could be better but they are really just trying to help people make better choices."
"Really?"
"Yeah. We did weightlifting everyday but obviously I wasn't there very long."
"Thanks to Scott."
"I don't know why he changed so suddenly."
"Was he high or something?"
"I don't think so."
"I don't know what's gotten into him. But it's not right. If he thinks Pentatonix will just be able to move on from that-"
"No. Don't let me get in the way of your band."
"This is about Scott. But I fully intend to hear his side of the story."

Avi turned on the TV and we awkwardly sat there. I let my mind focus on Josh, whom I abruptly left at jail. I still had all that money, I could bail him out with it. Is he worth it? He is a criminal after all. Then again so am I.

"I stabbed a man." I whispered.
"I've heard, twice."
"I could've killed him."
"But you didn't."
"I wish I did."
"Why?"
"I'd probably still be in prison and I wouldn't have to live in fear of Steven coming back."
"You'd rather be in prison then here?"
"Yeah." Avi's eyed reminded me of Josh's deep green ones and I realized how much I missed him. We had grown so close in my slight imprisonment.

"Hey Avi?"
"Yeah."
"Will you help me bail someone out of jail?"
