Miranda POV

Around 4 pm, Delaney and I left to catch our evening class. Which was absolutely boring and not nearly as fun as working at the record label.

Delaney told me all about the Pentatonix band. I had only met Scott and Kirstie but apparently they are all absolutely incredible and really funny. She also said that I looked like one of the guys in the band. Why is everyone saying that?

After class, I went out with Steven. We went to a simple Japanese restaurant and chatted for awhile. He told me about his family and his background, but I found myself barely listening. For some odd reason my mind kept drifting to Scott and his absolutely stunning blue eyes. What's wrong with me? I just met him. You can't  fall in love with a guy you talked to for like two minutes.... can you?

The rest of the night was a blur. Steven dropped me off, without saying much of a goodbye. Maybe he noticed me acting weird.

"Hey Mir are you alright?" Delaney asked.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"Normally you're really happy after dates but tonight you seem distracted."

"It's nothing."

"What is it?"

"Really Del, it's stupid."

"Just tell me!"

"Fine. You know that tall guy from Pentatonix?"

"Scott! Yeah! He's adorable."

"There's something about him, I just can't get him off my mind."

"I should set you guys up!"

"I'm already in a relationship!"

"What if Scott treats you better?"

"He's probably not even single Del!"

"You never know!"

Sighing, I left the room and went straight to bed. I need to clear my head.

The next day just flew by. I didn't have to go to the internship today, so I spent most of the day studying and attending easy classes. Tomorrow I get to return to the record label, and hopefully see Scott again.

Scott POV

I can't even remember her name, but the front desk girl was probably the prettiest girl I have ever seen. She had really long, brown hair with matching eyes. She seemed really happy at the record label. What puzzled me as how she had no idea who I was. Maybe she hasn't been working there long... But Pentatonix has been popular for almost 3 years now... it's so weird.

Their was this mysterious tone to her overall appearance, that made me want to learn more about her, and here I am counting the minutes until I get to see her again. I feel pathetic.

*next day*

The entire band got up early to return to the recording studio. We got their around 9 am but unfortunately, someone else was sitting at the front desk. We were told to wait in the lobby since we're over an hour early for the session. After scrolling through twitter for awhile, I saw the familar girl waltz in with the girls who helped us in the conference room the other day. Along with them were two boys and whatever they said must've been hilarious because front-desk girl was cracking up.

When she walked by she said, "Hey Scott," warmly and waved in my direction. I smiled and waved back at her. I wanted the brunette to stay and talk but she was called somewhere. Before I know it she came back with a clipboard, "Pentatonix, follow me."

We followed her into a conjoined conference room and studio. When we entered the two guys she was laughing with earlier were there as well.

"My name is Miranda and this is Corey and Dylan, today we'll help you record and edit your album, hopefully to your liking. This is our---" Suddenly her eyes went wide and she had a panicked look on her face."Umm excuse me, I'll be back." She said really quickly.

Well that was weird.

Miranda POV

Of course... of course I couldn't hide forever. There he was standing in the room. I didn't even know he was in a band... He noticed too, when our eyes met he jumped back a little. So that why they said I looked like him... it all makes sense.

Mitch. The hatred I have for him has grown stronger as the years go on. I don't even want to see him. I ran down the hallway and sat on a bench by the elevator. I put my head in my hands as I attempted to pull myself together. Why now? Why did I have to help his band?

After fixing my hair, I re-entered the room and pretended nothing happened. After all, this is a workplace.

Mitch glanced at me and mouthed, "we need to talk", good luck with that, Mitch. I let Corey and Dylan take over with the recording. Overall, their band was amazing but it would probably be better if Mitch wasn't in it, whoops.

Speaking of the devil, as soon as we were done recording he'd pulled me aside. And I know one thing for sure, this is not going to end well.
