CHAPTER NINE
"Do we all have boyfriends now?"

CASSANDRA HAD WOKEN UP BEFORE ANYBODY SO SHE DECIDED TO MAKE BREAKFAST. She knew most of them didn't have to eat actual food but Bonnie was staying over so she decided to be nice. She was too busy dancing to music that she didn't realize she had an audience. Klaus smiles watching her, trying not to disturb her. It wasn't long before she looked up and jumped when she met eyes with Klaus. He only gives her a slow clap making her roll her eyes playfully. "Morning." She says breathless as she clears her throat and goes back to cooking.

"Good morning, love." He replied as he walks over to her and wraps an arm around her waist. Cassandra tenses a little, turning her head lightly so he can kiss her on the cheek.

"Did you sleep well?" Cassandra asks as she focuses on plating everything she cooked. Klaus sighs as he thinks about what had happened last night.

"About yesterday-" She knew it was an apology as soon as he started but she didn't need it.

"It's fine, Nik. Just forget about it." She goes to turn away from him but he catches her wrist, needing to finish his sentence.

"No, the way I treated you.. I'm sorry. I wasn't in my right mind." He tries to explain, shaking his head as he felt horrible about the way he shouted at her.

"It's okay, really." She tries to dismiss him, not really wanting to hear an apology. She was honestly fine with it and she made peace with it.

"But, I said things that hurt you." Klaus states as he frowns, staring at her as she just continues to put food on the plates.

"We've both said things." She adds with a shrug, not really taking what he said to heart. "I just am glad you're back to your old self." Cassandra tells him as she glances at him for a second, offering a soft smile.

"I'm just really sorry for attacking you and just saying those things to you, I know my anger isn't an excuse." Klaus sighs as he glanced down at the ground, apologies weren't really his specialty.

"You don't need to apologize." She says, finally putting her cooking down in order to turn and face him. "You needed someone to scream at, to get your anger out. Im just glad you felt safe enough to take it out on me." Cassandra explains to him, stroking his cheek. Klaus nods, smiling as he presses a kiss to her cheek.

"I love you." He tells her making her smile as she nods, knowing he did.

"I know." Cassandra says teasingly before turning away from him. Klaus jabs her in the side playfully making her laugh and turn back to him. "I love you too." She leans in and presses a kiss on his cheek before turning back to finish what she was doing.
