CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT
"Can you see me?"

SHE GROANS AS SHE ROLLS OVER, pulling the pillow over her head. All she could hear was Amara's constant screams from the basement and it made her want to rip off her ears. Cassandra groans loudly making Klaus glance over at her curiously to see what was going on. "You okay, love?" The man asks as he notices her position on the bed. Cassandra shakes her head as she couldn't stop hearing Amara because of her vampire hearing.

"All I can hear is crazy pants downstairs." She mumbles making him laugh lightly before hovering over her body, taking the pillow off of her head. Cassandra looks up at him with a pout and Klaus only smirks down at her.

"We can drown out the noise." Klaus suggests as he plants a kiss on her lips, moving his hand down her body. Cassandra only pulls away from him, shaking her head as she couldn't do that with a crazy girl screaming her head off.

"I'm tired." She groans, pushing him away lightly as he only chuckles at her. Cassandra rolls onto her side, closing her eyes but she feels Klaus place his hands on her hips to bring her back towards him.

"Let me pleasure you then love." Klaus says as he moves down her stomach, planting kisses before pushing her underwear down. Cassandra gasps as she feels his lips against her, her thighs clenching.

"Nik..." She catches his attention and his head peaks up to glance at her. Cassandra pulls him up on top of her and he smiles down at her. "I love you." Cassandra looks into his eyes, really trying to believe it, to trick her brain. Klaus lifts his hand, stroking her cheek.

"I love you too." Klaus says as she smiles at her, not seeing the false nature behind her eyes. It killed her that he didn't seem to realize what she was going through. Elijah had his suspicions but Klaus was with her so often and he didn't even notice. He goes to lean in towards her but she only clears her throat, sitting up making him glance at her curiously.

"Can I ask you something?" Cassandra asks him, a frown settled on her face. Klaus sits up next to her, a worried expression in his eyes as he rubs her back a little.

"Anything." He tells her but before she can open her mouth they hear a large commotion downstairs. Cassandra and Klaus share a look before rushing downstairs to see what had happened.

"What is going on down here?" Cassandra asks as she got them to stop arguing. Katherine only crosses her arm, glaring at Damon who sheepishly turns to look at Cassandra.

"Amara. She's gone." He tells them making their eyes widen wondering how he could let that happen. "If Silas gets to her.." Damon trails off as he noticed Cassandra had stormed off. Kol follows her, walking behind her into the bedroom as he closes the door behind him.
