Kirishima POV
“Good day everybody! How are y’all this fine, fine day?” calls out the talk show host. There are some excited answers yelled out sporadically from the crowd members and the host moves on from the subject. “I’m your host, Jim Kopper, and this is The Talk Show!” (don't come for me I suck at naming things)
He takes a breath while the crowd claps before starting up again once the noise dies down. .
“Today, we’re being joined with two very interesting people! You may know them, and if you don’t, where have you been? They’ve been on the news all day every day since new years eve, and we’re lucky enough to have them on our show! Can I get a drum roll please?!”
The crowd begins to tap on their legs or the sides of their chairs, picking up speed as the suspense grows.
“Eijiro Kirishima and Katsuki Bakugou, come on out!” yells the host.
That seems to be our queue to come onstage. I run out and see that Baku follows behind me. The crowd claps enthusiastically as we take a seat and then they slowly die down once we sit on the couch. The room is a lot smaller than I thought it would be so there aren’t that many people in the crowd. I’m guessing there are probably around 50, maybe 60 people. My heart rate spikes a little and I take a deep breath with the hopes of calming down.
“How are you two today?” Asks Jim. I think he’s going to ask us a few questions and maybe play one of those weird talk show games that require some audience members. I wasn’t exactly given a plan for the day so I’m going off of the previous episodes of this show. I look up quickly and take in the bright lights before quickly squinting and looking away again. I read somewhere that those lights can blind you easily and I actually do like my eyesight, believe it or not.
“I’m good,” says Bakugou, although I notice that he’s also signing his words as he says them. I see Jim’s plastered smile falter a little before he gets it back up and looks at me expectantly.
“I’m good as well!” I say, although it feels like I have something stuck in my throat and I feel a slight pressure on my chest.
“That’s great! I’ll cut right to the chase and get started with the questions! I have a few ready and then once we’re done with those I have a few more from our online viewers. Then, a few special audience members will have the chance to come up and ask their own questions.”
“Great!”
“To start us off, are there any new photoshoots or acting gigs we should be looking out for?”
I take this chance to plug in a new movie I’m working on, since I am getting paid to do that. “Actually, there is a new movie coming out soon, it's called My Workplace and it’s a sitcom about the adventures of two coworkers who work side by side in an office. It comes out on March 10, and I star in it along with Mina Ashido and many other talented actors, so be sure to check it out in theaters!” I say towards the crowd. They all give a few claps and I think I hear a whoop or two and then the noise dies down and they get quiet.
“There is a runway show on January 9th, at the Kiol Centre and I will be there along with many other models. We will be showcasing a new line of clothing brought to you by the fashion designers Yuri Plisetsky and Otabek Altin,” Bakugou says, still signing his words. That gets a few more claps out of the crowd and Jim continues once the noise dies down.
“Thank you for letting us know about those wonderful events! I can’t wait for both of them and I’ll be sure to be watching you guys! Now, onto the next question. "Is it true that you are in a relationship?"This takes me by surprise. Generally the hosts take a bit more time with the icebreaker questions before easing into the gossip ones. Apparently not with him. I see a few people lean closer to us expectantly, so after a confirmation glance at Baku, I reply, "yes, the rumours are true. We are dating each other!"
"I hear a few awes from the crowd, plus one or two boo's which I choose to ignore. Baku looks at me and smiles slightly, and I feel a little bit of the growing pressure on my chest fade.
I just hope I can last all the way through this interview...
