Kirishima POV
I really didn't expect Bakugou to text me first, but he did. Granted, it was because he lost his sweater and wanted to know if I had it with me, but it still counts. I did have it with me, since he had given it to me the night before, so I texted him that I could meet up with him that day to return it to him. It took him forever to text me back, but he finally did and he agreed to meet me at the nearby beach in an hour. I smiled and got ready for the day.
I put on a black hoodie and light blue ripped jeans before grabbing my black bandana and shoving Bakugou's sweater into my backpack. I basically ran out the door, almost forgetting to put on my red converse and decided to grab my red windbreaker just in case it got cold like yesterday.
I made my way down the street to the beach. My house was pretty close to it, so it only took around 15 minutes to get there. I made it to the meetup spot 5 minutes early, but Bakugou was already standing there, looking like he had been waiting for hours. I walked up to him and I saw him fiddle with something behind his ear, probably turning on his hearing aid that I now knew he wore, before looking over to me.
"Hey Bakugou! You're early," I called out to him while waving. "Did you miss me that much?" I was teasing him a little bit.
"NO SHITTY HAIR I JUST NEED MY SWEATER BACK!" he yelled back at me
I crouched down beside him and took the sweater out of my backpack before standing up and handing it to him. He mumbled out a thank you but it seemed more sarcastic than genuine. I didn't want to leave him alone just yet, so I decided that we should go on a walk on the beach, seeing as we were already there.
"Hey, you want to take a walk on the beach or something?"
"What!?" He seemed confused so I repeated myself.
"Do you want to take a walk on the beach or something?"
"And why would I want to do that?"
"Because you're with your best bro Kirishima and it'll be fun I promise!"
"Fine Shitty Hair let's get this over with."
He didn't say anything about the 'best bro' thing, but then again, he didn't shoot down the idea, which was a start.
I led the way on the beach and Bakugou followed behind me. I eventually turned around to see if he was still there, but I couldn't see him. I got scared thinking that he got kidnapped or something, but I calmed down once I saw him standing beside a tree. He quickly turned around and held up a huge stick in the air before running over to me. He got closer and I saw that he had a cocky grin on his face, which made me laugh.
He got right in front of me and then stood up on a rock and started waving the stick in the air.
"I own this stick and therefore I rule all of you peasants and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!"
I was full out wheezing when he said that, I couldn't stop laughing and ended up falling down onto the sand. I grabbed onto Bakugou's leg for support while I lifted myself up from the ground and brushed all the leftover sand from my pants before stealing the stick from Bakugou. He started yelling at me but I just ignored him and started to draw in the sand. It wasn't very good, but I enjoyed drawing nonetheless and it turned out okay in the end. Bakugou just stood there with a look of disbelief on his face.
"I didn't know you could draw!" He seemed confused and, I thought, slightly in awe.
"That's because I can't..."
"What do you mean Shitty Hair, you clearly can, so don't go and say that you can't because that makes me look like an idiot!"
I decided to drop the subject because it was clearly a battle I was going to lose. I stood back and admired my beautiful drawing of the surprised pikachu meme before Bakugou decided to literally crush all my hopes and dreams of becoming an artist by stepping on it. I tried to give him a glare, but he just smiled smugly at me and I burst out laughing again.
Once I eventually calmed down, I grabbed Bakugou by the hand and started to run. There was a place that I wanted to show him that was nearby. It was my secret haven and I no one knew about it because it was hidden and I had never shown it to anyone, but I felt like I could trust him. He started yelling at me but then I stopped in front of a row of palm trees that were still growing. The leaves were still pretty low so it hid a lot of the entrance to my haven, plus there were a lot of bushes around that helped with the concealing. I let go of Bakugou's hand and pushed a few leaves to the side before looking back at him with my hand outstretched. He looked very sceptical of what I was doing.
"Do you trust me?" I asked him.
"What is this, Aladdin?"
"Do you trust me," I asked again, a little more harshly. I wanted him to answer me truthfully.
He looked back at the beach and then to my hand.
"Ah what the hell!" He grabbed onto my hand and I smiled before pulling him through the entrance to my secret haven.
