Bakugou POV
This would have been the perfect opportunity to kidnap me, but I didn't think that Shitty Hair would do something like that. He seemed nice, and he didn't try anything the last time we were together, so I thought it would be safe enough. Then again, there were a lot of bad people in the world...
"Ah what the hell!" I pushed all of the thoughts telling me to run away aside and grabbed onto his outstretched hand. I immediately felt him tug my arm and I followed him through the wall of leaves and bushes into a place I had never been to. I closed my eyes so that they wouldn't get scratched by the branches. I already lost one sense, no need to lose another.
When I opened my eyes again, I almost gasped at how beautiful the area was. Sure, I may be mean and aggressive, but I know beauty when I see it, and this was outstanding. I was standing near a line of trees, and in front of me was a small secluded beach area that was hidden by said trees. The sand was a pearly white, and there was no trash anywhere which was a big contrast to the rest of the beaches in the area. The water was a perfect turquoise and it reflected the image of the partly cloudy sky. Shitty Hair was standing in front of me with a goofy smile that could kill a man on his face. I should know, it almost killed me.
He turned around and ran up to a rock that was near the water before sitting down on it. He took his shirt, bandanna, and converse off and ran into the water. I was guessing that the shorts he was wearing were swimming shorts, since he didn't take them off.
I walked up to the rock and sat down on it. I didn't really feel like swimming since I hadn't brought any swimming shorts or a change of clothes and I didn't want to walk home wet. I took my hearing aids out and put them in my pocket. It's not like they were doing anything anyways, they only got more useless since the night before. I think I ended up falling asleep because the next thing I knew, the sun was up a lot higher and I couldn't find Kiri-um i mean-Shitty Hair anywhere. I looked around for a bit before noticing that he just went further into the water.
The water looked refreshing, and I was sweating buckets while sitting in the sun, so I decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to go in for a little bit. I took off my flip-flops and rolled my shorts up as high as they would go so that I wouldn't get them wet. I also took my hearing aids out of my pocket and put them on top of my flip-flops. I really didn't want them to get damaged in the water, even though they were already useless.
I ran into the water and almost, ALMOST smiled. It was nice and cool and refreshing and perfect. Shitty Hair noticed that I came into the water and swam up to me. I thought he said something, but I didn't know what because I had forgotten to read his lips, so I politely asked him to repeat himself.
"SAY THAT AGAIN SHITTY HAIR!"
"The water's really refreshing, eh!" I actually read his lips, and scoffed.
"What are you, Canadian?"
"Sorry dude, I grew up in Canada, I guess old habits die hard am I right!?"
I didn't know that Shitty Hair grew up in Canada, and I honestly didn't care. It's not like it's my business where people come from. But the fact that he was grinning from ear to ear and standing in front of me just made something happen in my insides. It felt like I had a frog stuck in my throat and it was just jumping around, and I wanted it to leave my goddamn body. I decided that the best plan of action to get it out was to get rid of the smiling ray of goddamn sunshine as quickly as possible.
I splashed him with water. I cupped my hands and pushed water towards him and splashed him. It wasn't even a big splash or anything, just a small little bit of water hitting his already wet skin. And yet he made it seem like I just shot him with a water arrow, if those even exist. I couldn't believe this guy. He threw himself backwards and fell into the water. I watched as he dramatically called out that he had been killed by his friend, by someone whom he trusted. It infuriated me, which made me splash him even more. He retaliated with his own splashes and before long we were in a full out water fight. We were acting like it was the end of the world and we were fighting over the last bottle of water left, or roll of toilet paper, whichever you deem more important. Woah, I should calm down and fix this crack in the fourth wall before it shatters.
