Bakugou POV
Two weeks. Two fucking weeks have passed and I haven't heard anything from the auditioners or whatever they're called. They said they would get back to me in ONE TO TWO WEEKS and they STILL HAVEN'T! I swear to god, if they don't email me soon, I'm going to lose my FUCKING MIND!
My phone flashes and I see that I got a notification. I'm really hoping it's an email this time, and not just Dunce Face sending another meme to the group chat. Oh yeah, we started a group chat a while ago for the "Bakusquad" or whatever those extras call it. It was Soy Sauce's idea and he added Dunce Face, Pinky, Shitty Hair, and me into it. I was added against my will, and I seriously wish I wasn't. I swear to god, all they do is text all night. It's hard to get a good night's rest when my phone is buzzing every three goddamn milliseconds. Most of the time it's not even words! They just send meme after meme after meme after meme and I don't even know where they get them from!
Luckily for me, it's not them. It's an email, actually. And now that I look closer, it's an email from the auditioners.
Oh god I'm not ready for this. Like at all. I know that it's not even that big of a deal if I don't get the part, but I still hope I did because then I would get to see Shitty Hair every day... I mean I would get to work on my acting skills in a professional environment. Yes. That's what I meant to say. Stupid autocorrect.
Should I open it now or call Shitty Hair and open it with him? I mean, he is the reason I even tried out so I feel like he should be here when I open it...
Yeah, I'll just call him now.
'Hey Dumb Hair, come over NOW' I tell him the moment he picks up the phone.
"What do you need dude?"
'Sign, and I just got the email.'
'What the fuck do you mean bro?'
He's swearing, which means he just woke up. Whoops.
'The email from the auditioners.'
He falls off of the chair he was sitting on and I watch as he scrambles to grab his phone again.
'Did you get the part??' He hurriedly asks.
'I don't know, I haven't opened it up yet...'
'Wait for me I'm coming over!'
He ends the call and I put my phone down onto the coffee table. God, I hope this turns out at least half decent.
Kirishima POV
Holy, he got the email! God, I hope he gets the part! I really don't want him to be disappointed, and I really do want him to work with me! How much fun would that be!
I quickly throw on some random graphic tee-shirt that I bought a while ago as a joke and some jeans before running out of the house and jumping into the car. Less than five minutes later, thanks to the definitely illegal speed at which I was driving, I make it to his apartment complex.
I run inside and grab the keys which I may or may not have taken from him when he asked me to water his plants that one time and unlock the front door. I burst inside and see him jump onto his feet.
"How the FUCK did you get in?!"
"I used the keys!"
He looks confused but decides to drop the subject. I sit down on the couch, pulling him down with me since I wrapped my arm around his shoulder when I walked past him. He lands beside me with a grunt and then unlocks his phone.
"Okay, so this is it I guess. Might as well just get it over with."
He opens up the email. I sit there, holding my breath while he reads the email. I try to read his expression but it's really hard with him. He's really good at keeping a straight face, or at least the same face since he always looks angry. He gets to the bottom and I see him frown just a little. Oh god.
'I um, I didn't get the um, I didn't get the part.' He stutters out. He looks down and then immediately puts his normal resting face back on and stares me dead in the eyes.
"Don't you DARE pity my Shitty Hair. It's not like I wanted the part anyways."
'I wasn't going to pity you dude, and you know it's okay to be disappointed or sad right? I'm not going to think any differently of you man.'
'Good to know, but I'm not sad or disappointed.'
We sit there in awkward silence for a little while and I end up going onto my phone. I see on Instagram that a new coffee shop opened up not too far from here. I could take him there, to like, cheer him up or something... I know he said that he's not sad, but I saw his frown. I think he just doesn't want to be a burden.
"Wanna go get coffee?" I ask him.
'Sure, why not.'
We get into my car and then make our way to the coffee shop. From the looks of it, it's packed to the brim, but that's to be expected since it just opened up. We take a place in line and stand there as it inches forward, making small talk every once in a while. Once we finally get to the register, I order and Bakugou ends up paying, much to my disapproval but it's ok. I'll pay him back later. I grab our drinks and we go outside since there's literally no room to sit anywhere in the shop.
"So, what do you want to do?" I say instead of signing, since I'm holding both of our coffee cups.
'Let's walk,' he signs back.
I hand him his coffee and we make our way down the street. It slowly becomes dark and we end up just sitting in a random park that we came across. We laugh and talk for a little bit and then we realise that there are some fireworks going off somewhere. I point it out to Bakugou and he immediately tenses up. Maybe he doesn't like fireworks?
They seem to be going off a lot closer than I initially thought they were and the noise is starting to become quite loud. I think nothing of it, since fireworks are naturally loud, but I see Bakugou start to shake and he huddles up into a ball-like position with his head in his knees and his hands over his ears. He's not looking up, and I'm guessing he doesn't have the volume of his hearing aids up
For some reason, his position and actions seem eerily familiar. Like I've seen it before...
Holy shit, Bakugou's having a panic attack.
