Kirishima POV
It's been hectic these past few days. Rather, it's been hectic since me and Baku-babe decided to go public with our relationship. It's starting to seem as if every magazine company wants an interview, every photo company wants a photoshoot and every show wants us to be on. I've agreed to a few of each, but the constant onslaught of emails and phone calls is starting to give me a headache.
THERE IT IS AGAIN!
My phone is ringing, probably trying to vibrate itself off of the table, so I pick it up.
"Hello?" I ask, kind of grumpily.
"Hey Kirishima! You seem down..."
"Denki! Hey! Sorry about that, I thought you were someone else," I reply with more enthusiasm. He's definitely a lot more fun to talk to then yet another company.
"Is it the companies?"
"Ding ding ding, you win the million dollar prize!"
"How are you still alive?! I swear I've seen your face on channels and covers more times than I can count!"
"I'll be honest, I'm not sure."
"I have an idea, what if we go out!"
"Huh?"
"What if we go out! I'll get the Bakusquad together and we'll all just kind of, go out to a club or something! Have a fun night, maybe get drunk..."
"You know what, sure! Why not!"
"K, I'll text you once I get everyone's opinion!"
"See you Denki!"
With that, I hang up the phone.
I decide to call Baku and let him know ahead of time so that he doesn't blow Denki's eardrum out when he gets his call. The phone rings for a few seconds before I hear a beep and a grunt coming from the other side.
"Kiri, video call me," is all Baku-babe says in his gruff, 'I just woke up' voice before hanging up the phone.
I call him again, but this time on facetime. He answers and I see his face. His eyes are half-lidded and he has slight bags under his eyes. I hear some rustling come from his side of the call and then he stands up with the phone in his hand and places it on a nearby table so that he can use both hands to sign.
'What do you want?' He asks, in a tired and confused voice.
'Sorry for waking you up, but Denki asked if we wanted to go to a club or something.'
'Why? And when?'
'To blow off some steam, get rid of some stress you know? And I don't know when yet, but I'm guessing tonight.'
'Alright, let me know when you figure out when. See you later.'
I put my phone down on the kitchen counter and go to get dressed. I have to get to a photoshoot in 30 minutes and then a live talk show with Baku right after that. I can just chill with Baku after that and then we have another photoshoot before finally getting to rest.
I get a moment of realisation and then run back to the kitchen to text Denki about our already scheduled plans for the day. It's probably better if I tell him now rather than have him have to change the time later once it's already planned with everyone. He responds with a thumbs up and I set my phone down once again.
I get dressed for real this time and then slip my shoes on, slide my keys, wallet, and phone into my jacket pocket, and then make my way to my car. It's not a long drive so it only takes me about 5 minutes to get there. I park my car behind the building and then go inside. There are already people waiting there and they don't hesitate to pass me some clothes and then rush me out of the changing room to get my makeup done. It takes a few minutes and then I'm pushed into the photo room and I get placed in front of the green screen. I take a few photos and then I am told that I can leave. I'm in and out of the building in an hour.
I then drive myself to the talk show and I find Baku also parking his car. I quickly pull into a parking spot and run to his car before he can get out. I hide behind his car and wait for him to pass by me before jumping out and attacking him with a hug.
"WHAT THE FUCK-" He screams before taking his first look at me and then softening his look. He doesn't keep his expression soft for long though.
"KIRISHIMA YOU MOTHER FUCKER," He screams at me. I just laugh because I now he's joking, and because it was really funny to see his face.
He grabs me and lifts me up before spinning me around and throwing me to the side. I land on my feet, laughing even more than before.
'I'm sorry Baku-babe, it was funny though!'
"Funny my ass you scared me HALF TO DEATH!"
I stretch my hand out and then we walk inside the building. Once we get in, we're ushered into different rooms and then they touch up on my makeup. I still have the makeup from the photoshoot on so they don't have to do much and I'm allowed to go chill in the lounge while I wait for Baku.
I walk into the room and I immediately notice that I'm not the only one here. There's a guy with green hair and freckles sitting on the couch. He has a cane set beside him and he's scrolling through his phone. I walk up to him and he looks up, noticing that I've come in.
"Hi! I'm Izuku Midoriya!" He says in a cheery voice.
"I'm Eijiro Kirishima!" I say in return. "Are you going to be a part of the talk show?" I ask. I thought that this was going to be an interview with just Baku and I.
"Oh, no. I had an interview earlier and I'm just chilling here until my next time slot. I get the stage for a small show tonight and I don't feel like going anywhere, so I'm just practising and chilling."
"Oh, that's cool!"
I take a closer look at him and then notice that he looks very familiar.
"Wait, are you Deku?" I ask.
He rubs the back of his neck and lets out a breathy, embarrassed laugh.
"Yeah, that's me," he replies with a smile.
"Yo, your songs are amazing! And your voice is super manly too!"
"Thanks!"
I motion towards the couch, asking the silent question of 'is this spot taken' and he shakes his head no in response. I take a seat and pull out my phone.
"Hey!" a gruff voice says from behind me.
I jump from surprise and turn around. I genuinely didn't hear him come in.
"Ha! Payback!" He yells with a smirk.
"Bakugou! You're here too!" Midoriya says.
"Izuku?"
"Yeah, I'm waiting for my turn up on the stage!"
Baku smiles a little and my heart pangs. I notice that my thoughts are about to start turning
into jealousy and then I quickly shut them down. Baku is allowed to have friends and of course he knows people I don't. My thoughts are pulled back to the conversation when I hear a voice over the speakers telling us we have 10 minutes until show time.
"Hey Baku, maybe we should go backstage," I say.
"Yeah, let's go."
"Bye Midoriya, see you another time!" I call out while walking out.
"Bye!" he replies.
We walk over to the backstage doors and we wait out in the hallway. A person sees us and tells us that we're allowed backstage so we go through the door. We wait, making small and quiet conversations until they call out one minute until show time. That minute went by in a flash.
It's time.
