Miyuki only half-paid attention to Mina's chatter as they walked towards the training grounds.

She felt bad about it, but her mind was too preoccupied with the idea of having to fight against people who had been training their entire lives and had a great grasp of their quirks' strengths and weaknesses. She gripped at the skirt of her new hero costume nervously.

Sure, Crystallise was a powerful quirk, but only in theory. Miyuki hadn't used it in over five years, let alone in combat training.

And judging by Mina's excited account of their first training session in ground beta, Ivy's quirk wouldn't be much help.

'Sorry.' Ivy said.

'Oh, no, it's not your fault. Just a bad matchup, you know?' She reassured as the training arena came into view; it appeared to be the same faux-city that she and Sakura had fought All Might in.

'The wind is unlikely to help us. Their assistance last was only for Fujimori-chan.' Ivy said, solemnly. 'And the earth is too anguished to muster up the same strength as before.'

'You sound like a silver-spooned brat right now, Whispy.' Viola chimed.

Miyuki bristled, ready to defend, but Ivy simply let out an airy laugh.

'I don't know about that, but my parents were rather insistent on keeping up appearances. They had a 'fake it till you make it' approach to status.'

''Whispy'?' Miyuki questioned.

'Yeah, she can talk to plants, like some kinda plant whisperer, an' she's kinda like 'hose little floatin' wispy things. Like from that one Disney movie.' Viola said.

'I believe they're called Will-O'-Wisps.' Ivy said.

'Yeah, 'hose things.'

'That's more of a stretch than calling Sunila 'Sunny'.' Miyuki sighed.

'Well what else am I s'pposed to call 'er? V? Ives? Iv?' Viola muttered. 'How the 'ell am I meant to shor'en the name Ivy?'

Ivy giggled. 'I don't mind. My parents used to call me their little willow. It's nostalgic.'

'Your parents talked to you?' Viola said.

'That's generally what parents do, Viola.'

Miyuki smiled as the two bickered, glad to see Ivy getting along with arguably their most abrasive head-mate. Though the smile quickly faded as All Might and Eraserhead stepped up to address the class; Miyuki having entered the building while talking with her friends (both inside and outside her head).

Aizawa-sensei gave a glare, silencing any remaining chatter. All Might coughed into his fist, before speaking.

"Now, young heroes, today we will be playing a game of 'capture the flag'!" All Might exclaimed.

"Each team will be made up of three students." Eraserhead continued. "Every team will have their own flag, which they must defend, while also going after the other teams' flags. Whichever team has the most flags by the end will win."

'Damn. Well, I'm out then. This ain't really my style.' Viola said. 'I'll go help Saff with Rose, see if she can help ya out, 'kay?' And with that, she faded to the back.

'It's a shame Rosie can't help.' Ivy mused. 'It'd be easy to sneak around the other teams then.'

'Even if this is only training, there's too much of a risk.' Miyuki said. 'Our classmates don't know to hold back against her.'
