Jace

We sat in the hallway outside the infirmary and waited. Magnus and two silent brothers were inside and were still working on Clary. Last time Magnus come out and talked to us he said that Brother Zachariah was trying to save her baby.

Izzy had fallen asleep with her head in Simon´s lap. The three boys who had busted into the infirmary hours ago was whispering silent to each other and Alec sat beside Jace for comfort. His sibling´s had a long time ago forgiven him for the terrible mistake that still haunted his dreams, the night when he had lost Clary, the night he had cheated on her Simon on the other hand wasn´t that forgiving. He had lost his best friend.

Jace was afraid that Clary would never wake up again. The gash in her stomach had been pretty deep and there had been a lot of blood. No one knew how much she had been bleeding before she got there. When they found her in the library Clary had kept asking her son for forgiveness. Jace couldn’t help but wonder why. It wasn’t like she was responsible for his death.

The door to the infirmary opened and Magnus, Brother Zachariah and Brother Enoch walked out. Magnus was looking exhausted. Suddenly there was a voice inside of Jace´s head

Clarissa Morgenstern is all right. We couldn´t save her baby. Brother Enoch voice said. Jace took a deep breath. By the angel! Clary was all right! His girl was alive.

We will take her son, Christopher Morgenstern and her daughter to burn in the silent city echoed Brother Zachariah´s voice in their head. Suddenly the Brother´s was at the door.

Keep in mind that she is not the women she once was Brother Zachariah´s voice said to them and then both of them disappeared. They were all still sitting together at the floor

“Let her rest to tomorrow and you guy´s should rest to” Magnus said and yawned.

“Can´t we see her?” Simon asked while stood up and helped Izzy to her feet.

“Not tonight” Magnus simply said. Simon sighed and took Izzy´s hand as they were walking away towards her bedroom.

“Are she really okay?” one of the three guy´s asked. He had half curly light brown hair and almond formed brown eyes

“Yes” Magnus said

“Really sure?” he asked. What´s his problem? Is he in love with her or something? As soon as the thought left his brain a imaged flashed through; the training room, Clary and this guy Jake, at the floor making out.

“Come on Jake… You can see Clarissa tomorrow” another of them said. I remembered his name as Brandon.

“There is still empty room right?” guy number three asked

“Yeah, up the stairs, down the corridor to you left. Choose one” Alec replied while he interlined his fingers to Magnus.

“Leave her be” Magnus warned before they left and Jace was alone in the corridor. He just stood there for a moment before he opened the door to the infirmary and walked in.

Clary was lying in one bed. Her body full of new and old wound and her stomach was flat. She was looking terrible. Jace sat down at the chair beside her bed and took her hand. He laid his head towards the bedframe and was soon asleep.
