Check out this awesome drawing that threetoothpicks did of Raziel ^^ 😍❤❤❤

I honestly love it so much!!! So thank you for drawing this! I think the full length drawing definitely captures Raziel's annoyance (we'll see why he's annoyed later in the chapter) and I think the close up image captures Raziel's natural 'holier than thou' attitude! Thanks again, it means a lot! 🤗

Raziel's POV

"I'm having your student ID made, it should be ready in a few hours." Zorander looks at me curiously. "Why do you want to be a student?"

I ignore him, opting instead to flick through the papers scattered across his desk.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Zorander crinkle his nose and edge closer to me. "I smell a human on you." He raises an eyebrow and continues, "I've always heard how you loathe humans."

"I still do except one," I reply dismissively, though I can't seem to stop the tiny smile that appears on my lips or the feeling of serenity that I get when thinking about Kai.

"How are you even an angel?" Zorander mutters, still standing closer to me than I would like. "Not going to tell me why you got kicked out of heaven? I can keep a secret," Zorander says innocently.

I scoff, I could never trust him not to tell Kai. "Why aren't you in hell?"

"Why aren't you in heaven?" He shoots back.

"Let's just sit in silence. You're giving me a headache," I reply, leaning back on the chair and closing my eyes.

"You're way too relaxed. Most angels are jittery in the presence of demons." I hear him move away from me and sit back down behind his desk.

"I've been to hell, most angels haven't," I respond, rubbing my forehead.

I hear Zorander gasp and mutter, "So that wasn't a rumour?"

I've been to hell once. God thought visiting hell would be a good punishment for one of the many pranks I've pulled on the humans. So he arranged for Satan to give me a tour.

It was incredibly painful. Only archangels remain unaffected when visiting hell. Regular angels like myself are highly affected. The pain is unbearable. It's like everything in hell has but one goal; to cause you immense pain. Every step feels like you're slowly being pulled apart cell by cell and each cell is then shredded before being dropped in acid.

It took me a century to recover physically from my visit to hell and another two centuries to recover psychologically.

Of course just to prove that God's punishment didn't work and to get back at him for the centuries of pain, I created hiccups. It took a century and a half to implement but it truly was some of my best work! God didn't bother getting rid of it because it was more effort than it was worth to undo and though it is annoying for humans it was mostly harmless.

Honestly, I probably should have been banished a long time ago but I have led the angels to victory in countless wars over the millennia and I've trained thousands of angels. I've also taught those few angels blessed with healing abilities how to use them. There is no one angel in heaven with my skill set so I've gotten away with a lot.

That fact that I am the only angel with pink wings also works in my favour. Most angels tend to have white or gold wings. The few of us who aren't born with white or gold wings are significantly stronger; physically and mentally as well as when it comes to any secondary powers such as healing, telepathy and the ability to stop and slow down time.
