Raziel's POV

My fingertips brush against my human's eyelids, tracing the features of his face. His barely audible snores cause my lips to quirk at the sides. My fingers dance down his body, stopping just above my seal which is permanently imprinted on his chest.

Mine. All mine. Kai is finally mine.

I gasp at the strange sense of possessiveness that washes over me. I would do anything for him, anything to protect him, anything to please him or to make him smile. These feelings were all there before but somehow they've gotten more intense, like just seeing him upset would physically hurt me and I wouldn't be content until he is happy.

Kai shifts closer to me in his sleep, releasing a happy sigh when I press him right up against me. I suppress a moan as our naked forms tangle together. In hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have pulled him so close.

My teeth sink into my lip as I try to put some distance between us without waking my mate. My mate. My perfect mate. I can fully call him that now.

"Why are you trying to move away?" Kai rubs his eyes and yawns.

A smile spreads across my face and I stop moving as I watch my mate slowly become aware of his surroundings. While I'm a little sorry I woke him, maybe now we'll have time for some other things before school.

"Someone's excited," Kai says. All the sleep is gone from his eyes, replaced by a lustful gaze. His mouth parts and his tongue flicks over his lip as he runs his hand down my body. "I think we have some time before we have to get dressed for school."

My eyes flutter close and a throaty moan escapes me. I'm glad we're both on the same page.

"I love you." I nibble on Kai's bottom lip.

"Ummm, I love you too." The sound of the school bell makes us pull away, but not before we give each other a few more tender kisses.

"I'll see you later!" Kai blows me a kiss and saunters off with Milan.

As I make my way to the principal's office, I ignore the irritated looks I get from students for blatantly making out with Kai by his lockers. Luckily, I don't think Kai will notice the looks, and I saw Milan shooting a glare at a group of students who were eying Kai.

Making a mental note to dial back on the kisses at school, I burst into Zorander's office. "Did you miss me?"

A middle-aged bald man, sitting in what I considered to be my chair in Zorander's office, glares at me. "You put up with this type of disrespect from students?" He scoffs. "Why aren't you in class, Child?"

"This student is my nephew. He wasn't feeling well yesterday, and I asked him to come see me when he returned." Zorander's cold stare is enough to silence the man and have him trying to fold in on himself. "You were the one that dropped by without an appointment, and you have no right to speak to any of my students like that."

The man huffs and mumbles an apology.

"Raziel, could you wait outside? I need to finish my conversation with Mr. Baldwin."

I nod and sit outside of his office, ignoring the judging eyes of the receptionist. Every time I came to Zorander's office, she always tried to stop me from barging in. How was I supposed to know that I should have actually listened to her this time?

Raz? Can you hear me? Testing. testing!

A smile spreads across my face at Kai's voice in my head and I reply in my mind. Yes, my little light, I can hear you.
