THE GLEAMING WATERS of the sea immediately left you in awe as you stepped out of your parents car. you watch from above the hill, the reflection of the mysterious sea of puerto vallarta, the sun shining through it perfectly. the warmth of the sun hit your skin, but the cold windy air that the sea delivered sent shivers down your spine causing goosebumps to rise. the salty smell nipped at the bridge of your nose, breathing it all in. how much you have missed this place. you haven't came in years due to your school work, but now, a college student who is majoring in marine biology thought this was a perfect opportunity to help your parents and use this yearly trip a learning experience. your dad was an archaeologist and your mom a mythologist, what a couple.

you couldn't help but smile brightly, despite your sunken eyes and overall tired look just being back here, breathing the air, it brought back happy memories from your childhood. it gave you a boost of energy and you forgot about all your worries, without having a care in the world.

looking around for any other human life, there was no one. just you and your parents. which made sense since the house you're staying in is hidden, it's on the other side on a hill with a huge field of land leading you down to the tingling sand. (think of the house souske from ponyo lives in! with the hill n all leading it down to ocean:) but the house bigger like from the one in cmbyn!)

your thoughts were running wild, disconnecting you from reality. how you so badly just wanted to run to the crashing waves, everyone else would be scared going into the depths of the ocean, even at night but most definitely not you. you were too stubborn and curious for your own good. everyone, including your parents think that that curiosity is going to lead you to your death one day. the thoughts of undiscovered beings is what kept your adrenaline going, what kept you have millions of questions. like cmon, 75% of the ocean is completely undiscovered! who knows what the ocean could have in store. so much left untouched by humans.

that's why you chose to be a marine biologist! the curiosity pulled you in and you wanted to be the ones discovering so much things. you wanted to explore the ocean, the love you had for the salty seas was something you couldn't explain in words.
you were going to spend 6 months here, half a year. it's seems like a long time, yet so short. you will try your best to get as much information and collecting findings as much as you can on your stay here.

"y/n! are you listening," your day dream like state was cut off by your mother calling after  you. it startled you considering you were deep in thought, you calmed down a bit and turned around, "yes mom?" you answered quickly. "come help your dad and i with these boxes. we're oldies, our backs are going to break!" your mom whined and you both giggled at that statement after, and off you were to help them.

you were all finally settled in the house, the 3 story house that you would always come every summer to as a child. it was old, moss and vines growing around the brick home, giving it a more beautiful vibe. the room you are staying at was separated into two. sorta like it was a a guest room and normal room in one, a door just blocking between the bedrooms. no one stayed in it though, it was just yourself so you walked in whenever and switched off rooms whenever you'd liked.

the rooms connected to a balcony that was set to get a beautiful view of the ocean the moon being perfectly centered with it, almost kissing it. every time you had trouble sleeping and it was too late to go to the seashore, you would go to the balcony admiring the view. it made your heart flutter every time, making you fall in love with the ocean again and again. watching as the waters crashed to land.
