I PULLED UP on the side of our home. i took the keys out. the whole ride back was quiet, just faint music surrounding us. i turned to face armin who was already looking at me, but with sad eyes.

"what's wrong, blondie?"

"do you think we can go to the shore and chill there?"

"yeah, of course let me just go to the kitchen and get a first aid kit. you can go on ahead and pick a spot to relax at." armin nodded in agreement and made his way while i went inside the house to get the first aid kit. i reached for the cupboard and found it. i also decided to bring some snacks since i'm sure we'll be there for a while.

i made my way back to the shore and see armin situated on a rock with the waves crashing beneath it. his body faced to the crescent  moon and a night filled with stars. he must've brought an extra sweater with him because he had a emerald green one. he had his legs against his chest, his hair dancing along with the soft breeze. i sat beside him and pulled out the first aid kit. i gently grabbed his chin so he could face me and examined his face carefully.

"armin.. you have cuts every where."

"i'm fine, really. it's not that big of a deal."

"you sound unsure."

i said as i got a cotton ball with alcohol and dabbed it on armin's cut to the cheek. I heard him let out a wince.

"so much for it not being a big deal, huh?" i said, teasingly.

i continued to treat armin until it was enough. thankfully, he only had small cuts and i only had to put a band-aid on his right cheek. armin was starring at me through the whole process so my face has been hot since.

"alright, we're all set. thankfully, you're wounds weren't that severe. i'm glad you're fine."

i was putting every thing away until i felt his palm cupping my face in which made my heart stop.

"thank you, i really appreciate, y/n."

"of course, but.. you didn't have to do that."

"i'm sorry, something just came over me. in all honesty, it wasn't my tipsyness that took ahold of me. the actions that i made tonight were on me, sober," he started to caress my cheek.

" i knew what the consequences would be if i were to strike eren. i knew them, and i still did it. i knew he was much stronger than me, but i didn't care. i couldn't bare the sight of him holding you. i knew the consequences, but i still did it because i wanted to protect you."

his eyes were teary, but filled with care.

"i just.. i was scared. i couldn't bare seeing you get hurt like that. i felt so stuck- so.. so helpless. so weak."

"weak? you? nah. trust me, you're not. you were just stuck in a unfortunate situation, you had every right to feel that way. i've been there as well."

"thank you, blondie. you really were my knight and shinning armor tonight." i said trying to brighten the mood. or maybe i was just dodging the fact that i didn't want to open up.

armin seemed to notice, but still had his palm on my cheek.

we both stayed quiet for a while, just maintaining eye contact. his eyes has always been so beautiful.

a couple moments after i got shivers down my spine and noticed that i forgot to bring a sweater, i sighed in annoyance. i looked up to see armin taking off his sweater.

"no, no it's okay-"

"too late, i'm already doing it."

"but-"

"no buts, sorry i already did it." he said as he put the sweater on me. I adjusted it and put the hood over myself.

i heard a chuckle from him.

"what?"

"nothing, you just look really pretty in my sweater."

i turned the other way quickly to hide my flushed face.

"is it okay if i hug you?" i heard from him

that remark caught me off guard, but slowly nodded my head. i heard his body shifting to me and i turned back around to face him, pulled me into a hug.

his arms were wrapped around my waist and i wrapped mine around his neck. we both were resting each other's chins on our shoulders and he eventually dug his face onto my neck.

i felt goosebumps all over my body.

i could feel his warm breath against my neck, i could smell his natural scent mixed with his cologne.

he was rubbing my back delicately as i was running my fingers through the back of his hair.

we stayed like this for a good couple of minutes. it was just the two of us accompanied with the moon and the sound of waves clashing. every now and then i would look out to the sea and see the moonlight grazing over the water, taking it's nights rest on there.

the ocean has always been the moons blanket, we were simply here to share the night with it.

new chapter! thank you for reading and for the support :)) sorry for the short chapter, but i might upload every 2-3 days !! i have so much motivation and inspiration now.
